The Seastrong Diver 300 is a staple of the Alpina collection. Legible, durable, and highly capable, it’s a great choice for outdoorsmen, businessmen, and many more Read More
Maybe not the greatest deal, but Alpina watches punch above their weight. The finishing is very good, even at MSRP, compared to the competition. But as others have said, they do come up cheaper than this on occasion.
I owned one of these previously - the Alpina Seastrong Diver 300 - the one with the orange markers. It's an awesome watch with great accuracy and details on the dial. It is large so keep that in mind but it's a really really great timepiece. I received many compliments while wearing it. Having said that, I believe I purchased mine for around $600 and sold it for around the same price a few years later. The $1k/$800 price here seems to be a bit steep.
Hardly a deal indeed. It appears like they charge more when the manufacturer’s warranty is stated, but you can’t return the watch if you end up not liking it.
With these special manufacturer runs they used to offer extra points, but not anymore.
I find this one overpriced 🤔 not a chronometer, no tritium, no titanium, no ceramic bezel insert, 🆒️💧 resistance but not as impressive...
This has a movement based on the Sellita SW200 and I don't 👁 any extras like a silicon hairspring, hi-beat from 5 Hz, huge power reserve, superior shock resistance, spectacular decoration or outstanding anti magnetic properties.
Lastly, I find a little bit misleading that 1️⃣ year manufacturer's warranty you get here. If you buy from an AD you get 3️⃣ years https://us.alpinawatches.com/pages/warranty
These prices on their Alpina Spotlight are horrible. I was a huge fan of Alpina and Frederique Constant (their sister brand) watches, but won't buy them now unless they're at least 70% off now, which is not hard to find. In terms of quality, both brands gave me maintenance issues higher than average when compared to other brands. Been a few years since I've owned one, so I'm not sure if their QC has improved. However, these prices on Drop are a joke!
DeeanDrop prices for watches are crazy ... for what is supposed to be a group buy at wholesale discount. jomashop or https://www.ashford.com/ have these (Alpina / Frederique Constan) regularly at 65-70% off
KonsultantI agree. I've been purchasing watches from Jomashop for over 20 years. Not ONCE have I gotten a bad watch from them, and their service has always been spectacular. I'd have no problem getting this (or any Alpina) at Jomashop, and you'd get it much faster the Jomashop route.
DeeanJomashop is horrible. I thought they were great for a while but after I bought a watch that was broken and they refused to fix or replace it and I had to deal with their service I will never go back to them. They actually destroyed the watch when I sent it back to be fixed.
