Did someone actually ask for this drop? It appears far too overvalued.

Guys, is it too much to ask for a shot with some currency in the wallet?

OmniseedAmerican bills fit fine. It can be a bit of trouble getting several of them down into the deep bill pocket, but I think it's worth it to have card slots that cards can't fall out of.

I got the Tony in color#8 back before all these new colors were around. Still my everyday wallet and I can vouch for the quality of the leather. There is a reason why Shell Cordovan materials have such a high price tag. For all the people asking about international bills fitting, I can say that this wallet's bill slot is very snug with American currency. I can probably fit 10 bills easily but would rather not stuff this full of cash all the time. It is very snug in there and sometimes hard to take money out. I have developed a habit of folding one or two bills in half and stuffing it inside when I get change. I am able to fit two cards in each slot so 8 cards would be the max in this wallet. I really wished that the Natural or Amaretto was available for the Tony when I got these wallets. I also got the color#8 Shell lexington key case back when it first dropped here. Both of them have developed such a nice patina and I can't praise these products enough. So bottom line is, for this price, get one and you will not regret it. If I didn't get mine as a birthday present, I would be all over this drop.

Thanks for reminding me on the construction of this wallet. I think there are too many layers of leather for front pocket use. Unfortunately I have some discomfort sitting on wallet for long hours so I am not going to join this drop although Tony the Ant in shell cordovan looks great especially the newer color. I have #8 shell cordovan key covers from Ashland and like their product.

I use it front pocket with more cards than that. But I don't wear tight jeans.

I keep telling myself I don't need more leather wallets but yet here I am purchasing a Garnet shell cordovan one. Anyone have any pictures of its patina over the years?

ZilventMan - I agree..... I'm a sucker for these as well as the military style watch straps from DaLuca. Quality stuff.... geez, I wish that they'd take a break on us though.... I've got more decent wallets and straps than most folks would need in a lifetime!! I got the Bugs Moran a few weeks ago when it was up and it's great. I'm looking forward to getting this one. The Shell Cordovan is beautiful - I did not think I would like #8, but after just a few weeks, it looks great. I'll bet Tony looks just as good after a few also.

LSNadonHonestly, it's not a bad thing to have a couple nice wallets. Though every time I upgrade, I end up giving my old ones to my brother or dad. At the very least, they go to good homes to be used. Its quite expensive for a wallet but it is shell so it makes sense. But just like with anything you get what you pay for.

I would love to get in on this drop, because that truly is a fantastic price, but alas, 'tis the season for overwhelming debt, and,

at least in my case... unemployment! With that out of the way, I do have to say that Ashland makes an incredibly good product. I'm beyond pleased with my acquisition from one of their previous drops. .... And so is my little buddy, Gemma.

Ashland wallet is on my wish list. Planning to use front pocket. Does the Bugs Moran carry smaller? 1/4" doesn't seem like much and Tony the Ant is the model I think I would prefer.

bacmapeiI originally wanted Tony the Ant but ended up grabbing the Bugs Moran because Tony was unavailable in the color I wanted at the time. I can't really comment on front pocket use because I wear women's pants and most days it's exciting to have any pockets at all. I carry in my back pocket and I don't find it uncomfortable or too noticeable. I don't really miss the cash pocket, but others might. Folded up bills, receipts, and multiple cards can fit in the interior pockets. They have enough give over time that I've been able to fit everything I need: 6+ cards, a "wallet ninja", a few business cards, some folded up cash, receipts, notes, an occasional coin or two... at worst it looks a bit overstuffed, but that's only happened twice over the course of a year. It really boils down to this: I'd go for Tony over Bugs if you're the kind of person who needs to carry crisp, clean bills. Honestly, I'm currently trying to convince myself I don't need to grab the Tony from this drop. You really can't go wrong with these wallets and this is a fantastic price given the materials and the guys at Ashland are equally fantastic to work with. I'll include some photos of my Bugs Moran below!

@ashlandleather would you mind posting a picture of the reversed interior of the amaretto wallet? its not very clear in the promotional pictures. thanks.

CavestoriesReverse amaretto would be the same interiot as the #8 reverse, I am assuming. It looks like all the reverse are very similiar to one another except for the blacks green reverse. Not sure why.
Maybe someone more knowledgeable could elaborate and correct me if I am wrong.
