Why would you think that?
No, these are manufactured and assembled by elves in the North Pole, and then shipped directly to you door via flying reindeer.
And--if you've been good, they sometimes include a little candy cane in the box too.
RappareeNo, not enough power.
Get FiiO K3 and use it for desktop, or get FiiO Q5 if you want to properly power 6XX, sadly there's nothing in the absolute entry that can really power 6XX...
No, I mean my reviews don't get into detail in the sound. My ears are not those of an audiophile, so my reviews are limited in what they cover. So some other reviewer might be able to give you more details on sound signature and stuff like that.
It says that using iPhone as a source, the volume control as well as pause and play function works on the beam, but answering calls will have to be done by accessing the phone itself. But yeah, the mic works
While it won't push harder to drive headphones properly (for instance, the HD6XX and HE4XX), this little DAC/amp would improve the headphone experience compared to the on-board sound coming from the headphone jacks of 99.99% of PCs and phones.
For those that may not be aware: The purpose of DACs and amps (or DAC/amp combo units) is not just to increase the maximum volume. They increase the fidelity (clarity) and sound-stage so that the different elements within a mix can be heard... and enjoyed!
While it does have a built-in battery, my FiiO Q1 mkII is powered by a USB port when I'm at my computer. Its 2.5mm balanced-out has more than enough power to drive my HE4XX with volume to spare - even on quiet songs or with EQ (to lower all frequencies except sub-bass). In addition to a higher maximum volume level than its standard 3.5mm (single-ended) out, channel separation and overall clarity is noticeably better.
UGHHHH yes! I bought a Dragonfly red and it’s pointless for the reason of more power output to the phones. Even when I Y-adaptor a batter in with the apple camera kit there’s no additional power unless the dragonfly recognizes it’s plugged into a laptop/desktop. I’ll need a hhip or something :|
ForemanI'm also curious. If this isn't plagued by the same problems with android I would be quite interested. I had the Sabaj Da2 which is basically a clone of the SMSL Idea - awesome when it worked but rarely worked.
