The latest DAC/amp in Aune’s “S” series, the S6 uses the notable AK4495 DAC chip and aims for a neutral presentation. Along with a powerful built-in headphone amplifier, it has an impressive number of inputs and outputs—including USB, coaxial, optical, and AES digital inputs, plus XLR and RCA outputs. The S6 is capable of decoding 32-bit/384kHz files and has native DSD support. On the front panel, you’ll find a high-quality TFT screen alongside a headphone jack and a large volume dial.
