I own a bertucci in titanium. After a year in fairly harsh conditions it's holding up really well actually.

50m wr?!?!? Looks like they're dumping NOS Bertuccis. Bertuccis are fine beaters, I've got a 100m Stainless that I've been beating on for over a year now from a previous drop. From my experience they're pretty reliable.

How much money can Drop actually make off of a $39 watch. Are they hoping to sell 10,000 of these?

JBinDCThe real question is how much did Bertucci make when they sold them? Or more to the point, how much did it cost Bertucci to produce them? Evidently the production costs were low enough to allow better than normal profits for all parties involved. If for example, costs were around seven bucks a unit, all the requirements of capitalism will have been met.

It’s a $40 quartz watch. Time Teller just did a review of one. Slightly smaller than your entry level Seiko 5 Automatic. You know what else is really really stupid about Drop rewards? It’s not just the fact that such an idea is only born out of a meeting where clueless people are among the question, “Why aren’t we selling more of our grey market reject watches at above grey market retail prices?”, it’s that they didn’t even consider rewarding their previous paying customers for anything they already purchased. Not even a token reacharound $5 (like I’ve gotten when I tried to purchase something off Massdrop, they kept my money for 6 weeks, then sent me an email saying, “sorry we don’t actually have that product”).

Maybe they'll cut you a deal on your next face ornament? Eh, Z-boy?
