The BGVP DM7 builds on the success of the DMG and DM6 models with refinements to the materials and sound quality. To make these improvements possible, the company put a lot of work into the driver configuration, opting for six balanced armatures (made by Knowles and Sonion) linked in a four-way passive crossover Read More
Really! Just $20 off?? I definitely can afford the price but the discount make wanna skip this, it's not worth it should be $250... I will wait for Fearless S8 Freedom, ebay 20% Off should be here soon tho 😉.
Here's my review of the BGVP DM7. I received a preview unit for review by Linsoul in preparation of this Drop.

I like this one. It's the best of the BGVP line-up I've heard thus far. It suits my styles more. Slightly warm of neutral. More mid-forward than DM6 and DMG and more neutral tuning. It's biggest flaw is that there isn't a lot of the upper treble spark that the others do have, but general tuning is much more aligned with what I like. Very good bass detail and layering, and general retrieval of detail.
The BGVP DM6 were so hyped by that BDGAudio reviewer that I was expecting Heaven...the DM6 arrived in 45 days from Amazon before 11/11 sale and I was disappointed by three things: 1. The sound nozzle angle and approach was very uncomfortable, the supplied tips did nothing to fix it, Comply Comfort Ts tips only helped a little—made it so I could listen for 15 minutes versus 5. 2. The upper midrange was WACK—LOL! I thought it must have been boosted by 2-6 dB and burning in would help. I switched out the cable for mono crystal copper and it helped a little bit, but still too bright with agonizing and ear piercing “S” sound. 3. The customer service is non existent—lucky for me, I am a prime member and just returned the unit with 29 days of use and trial, and too much error.
DM6 was good. DM7 is better. Much more transparent and detailed. Some additional thoughts for those thinking of hopping on the DM7 train; https://thecontraptionist.blog/2019/05/05/bgvp-dm7/
As someone said below the cost is not only warranted by the sound, but the components too. These aren't some cheap, mass produced product with little thought put into them beyond the spec sheet.
'Free' shipping to USA but everyone one in EU gets hammered due to import prices and tax. You should rename your company Drop USA :/
If you live outside USA the discounts are useless
What is the warranty on the DM7 and if I have issues with the product in the future, is it claimed through Massdrop or can I claim it through linsoul.com?
"challenging them to find the emails."
If they can't do that, they fail, and if they've already failed you, perhaps you could understand. Telling customers they've shipped, when they haven't and won't for weeks, is itself a fail. Stalling for months with no word then sending a contractor who doesn't actually read posts they respond to is more fail. Of course could be do to just certain subcompanies they deal for, but they take the money.
Hey, John i am really sorry for all the mess created just because of this shopping season and just because one or two customers got in issue like that doesn't mean that entity is scam or like that. There are many customers who are praising our services and as for you we shipped your package but again we are giving you another thing as a token of apology that you will find in your mail in a day or two at max. You already have our contact number you can get update from us.
Did massdrop just delete negative reviews????
There used to be a 1 star review with no comment. If you're going to take away 1 stars with no comments, then you should also take away the 5 star rating with no comment.
What's the basis for the removal of negative reviews?
The DM6 and DM7 are the flagship models. From DM6 point to present it makes sense.....besides the 12 BA model. So if you look at the DM7 as the budget flagship it makes sense.
aramkIm interested in a comparison as well, I have the DM6 already and many seem to prefer them over these. But was always interested in the FH7 that has all BA Knowles and slightly different tuning
First impressions, these were not worth the extra from the DM6. The build quality seems to be worse (no edge on the tips and the left one keeps popping off in my ear) and the sound quality is only slightly better. There isn't much sub-bass on these. For the price there are better options out there. Will test for a few more days and probably put them up for sale.
I should say I read one review that said these are a better moondrop kanas pro, and I completely disagree. The kanas is more open, airy, and goes much deeper. These are a little faster I think but the price difference doesn't justify it.
