The BGVP DM7 builds on the success of the DMG and DM6 models with refinements to the materials and sound quality. To make these improvements possible, the company put a lot of work into the driver configuration, opting for six balanced armatures (made by Knowles and Sonion) linked in a four-way passive crossover Read More

Did massdrop just delete negative reviews????
There used to be a 1 star review with no comment. If you're going to take away 1 stars with no comments, then you should also take away the 5 star rating with no comment.
What's the basis for the removal of negative reviews?
I may not be fully remembering it right given it's been a while, but when they were addressing this in their discord, I believe they had stated that it was only the first batch (i.e. the batch for the Drop pre-orders) that had used faulty mmcx connectors. Supposedly they had solved that issue with the supplier in the subsequent batches.
aramkIm interested in a comparison as well, I have the DM6 already and many seem to prefer them over these. But was always interested in the FH7 that has all BA Knowles and slightly different tuning
Papa253Probably not as i’m In the process of returning a set. Right MMCX would not work or would cut off sound if touched. And like a few have said the right one does not click into place.
these are much more chill than the dm6. I wasn’t too into them until I poped on a balanced cable and the final audio e tips. They became a bit more alive and some of the missing sparkle and clarity came back. I miss the dm6 slam but these have a much quicker bass that is still
impactful enough to satisfy me. ( buyers beware of a loose connection issue)
Anybody interested in purchasing my brand-new DM7 (just received today, June 27, and trialed for only an hour or so)? They are a great set of IEMs, but I discovered I prefer the DM6 I already had. I live in Germany and can ship to virtually anywhere. Just message me if you're interested and we can work out a price.
First impressions, these were not worth the extra from the DM6. The build quality seems to be worse (no edge on the tips and the left one keeps popping off in my ear) and the sound quality is only slightly better. There isn't much sub-bass on these. For the price there are better options out there. Will test for a few more days and probably put them up for sale.
I should say I read one review that said these are a better moondrop kanas pro, and I completely disagree. The kanas is more open, airy, and goes much deeper. These are a little faster I think but the price difference doesn't justify it.
I just received my white BGVP DM7 today via USPS. I opened the package and promptly connected the MMCX cable to both IEMs. The left clicked as I connected the cable, but the right did not click. The MMCX socket on the right IEM was loose and rotated inside the IEM. No sound came out of the right IEM. I sent a message to the Drop support and hope I can get a replacement set.
