TL;DR - 10/10 Didn't expect too much from these IEMs, I've owned a lot of over-ear headphones and IEMs between $100 and $200, always going for whatever was recommended by the head-fi community. Every time there was something dubbed as the new amazing budget high end killer I was always a little underwhelmed or disappointed.. so I'm not the type to get on hype trains. I was hoping that they would be at least as good as my personal favorite of my owned IEMs, the Sennheiser Momentums, and to my surprise these blow anything I've had completely away. My current 1More triple-drivers doesn't even come near the DMG's league, even with the correction settings and careful tuning that I did through viper4android for my 1More IEMs which were already great iems as stock at their price point.. This was my initial impression just listening to the DMGs with their stock tips and filters. Just when I didn't think I could like them more, I started changing around the filters and tips. Just wow.  You can get very nice bright, crisp, airy, and clear sound with the treble filters + silicone tips without it getting very sibilant like most IEMs of similar sound signatures get, or you can get nice rich, full, smooth sound using the bass filters + foam tips, which makes the treble roll off a bit more (perfect for those who are sensitive to treble) and gives a slight boost to the mids. Personally I hate iems that extend too much into the high frequencies cause of sibilance but I found myself loving the treble tips (big first for me, I prefer more warmer sounds) cause of how great the highs sound through. Using these with the foam tips give it a perfect balance of tight controlled bass that's still there in good quantity without being too much, and crisp, clear highs, a long with all the other benefits of foam tips. If you're sensitive to sibilance the reference filters + foam tips are the next best combination, same sound, but slightly more rolled off at the highest frequencies. My current favorite combination has to be between the mentioned ones or using the gold filter with either tips.. I love the rich, full sound I get with the "bass" filters. The bass filters don't really add more bass, but make it feel like there is a lot more because it softens the highs a bit, taking out what little traces of harshness there was, and give the mid range a small boost giving it this amazing warm signature, goes great with the silicone tips for a very nice full bodied sound while still having very crisp and clear highs. And when you really want bass.. the bass filters + the seal from foam tips make these really pack in a ton of very nice well bodied and fun bass. Really stuck between what filters and tips I want to use cause they all sound really good, I fully expected to only like the bass filters and possibly the reference ones with foam tips to soften the highs but ended up liking them all quite a bit. All in all, if nothing else, what I do know is that these are hands down the most comfortable and most well made headphones I've ever owned. I've had every kind of issues with past headphones, from microphonics, looseness, uncomfortable seating or feeling, etc but these have none of those issues. I imagine this is as close as you get to the comfort of custom fit iems. This was my first time wearing over the ear iems so it was a little confusing to put on at first, but very easy once I figured out how. Easily has the best quality cables out of everything I've owned, though the 1more iems had a decent cable. Idk how to describe it, it literally feels luxurious, has a nice soft supple feeling, no microphonics, doesn't feel weak at all, just a great iem cable. I already went over how great these sound, but these really are that well tuned. I can't imagine how they managed to tune these so well while keeping it "fun" sounding. I'm not big on specs cause you can have the best hardware, but it will sound bad if it's tuned bad, but for those that are, I did some research and these are rocking good hardware. The knowles drivers in these cost more to get as oem than any of the other similarly priced iems I could find, including the TFZ ones. For those of you interested we're looking at "dual high (Knowles SWFK-31736), dual mid (Knowles custom-ordered 10006), and a dual-coil graphene diaphragm dynamic low (because they're dual coil they count it as 2 drivers, but it's effectively one output)". I was very iffy going in cause $100 is no small amount and this was my first massdrop purchase but these are honestly quite amazing and punch way above their weight. This is coming from someone who regrets most of his purchases, so definitely worth all their hype. If you already have headphones you love, these may not be for you unless you have money to blow and want to try new IEMs but they're definitely more than worth getting if you want something better and don't already have great headphones since you won't find anything better at this price point. Shipped to Canada (Greater Toronto Area). I wasn't charged a single cent more than the initial $99.99 for the headphones and $3.25 for the shipping. Expected drop date was the 25th, but these were shipped out early on the 4th to me via Asendia/USPS, arrived this morning on the 10th. Pictures:

I agree, I find foam absorbs the sound and the medium, slightly rounded ones give the best fit and best sound.

I actually watched the DM6 review today. He definitely went off on a rant/rave about them! But that's why I like his reviews. No fluff no BS, cares less about the data and technical stuff than how it actually sounds. Of course now I'm curious about those too (the DMG are just as good as he says). But massdrop is doing the meze 99 classic headphone drop soon and I'm a sucker for wood and dynamic drivers together. Agh.
Random question-- any car manufacturer make a stock sound system that you think is on point? Like Lexus has Levinson audio, Toyota has JBL, etc. I actually like the JBL system in my 4runner more than the ELS in my old acura. Just curious.

is there any other iems at this price point or less better then these? every reviews seems to be really good but is it just hype ? i tried the 1more triple drivers and found them to be a bit muddy and overall just sort of mediocre evem after getting a good fit, not to mention they broke after only 6 months of use and simce they dont have removable cables i could repair them without soldering them.. i just got a pair of Tin Audio T2s today and so far i really like them for certain songs but other songs i need to turn the volume way down because of the deafeningharsh highs... id like something neutral but with a very very slight v shape.. something a little less bright and more versatile... dmg seems like it might be good fit.. need to see some more trustworthy honest reviews after months of use

carlsanI have exactly those DM6 in Chris' video. They are every bit as good as he says. I'm now waiting for the balanced cable and a balanced amp module for my Fiio X7. Can't wait to hear even more out of these IEMs. Go for the DM6!!!

The BGVP DM6 is probably more in demand. Later... but the tuning tips do make the DMG attractive. Even Later... the treble isn't horribly sharp itself but it does stick out and sounds strange that there's no balance on the brighter side.

Most definitely one of the better deals in audio right now. MD got a great price on them. Stock stuff out of the box sounds good but you can tweek the sound even further using filters from the LZ A5 which cost $20 on penon and better cables and tips.
Been using my pair I got from Linsul and they sound great for just about every genre of music. Very comparable in SQ to much more expensive earphones like the LZ-A5 and Fiio FH5.
Can't ask for too much more in SQ for what these cost. Thumbs up from me.

Good deal! Glad to hear it-- someone here at MD suggested it to me a while back but it was out of stock and the company didn't respond to my emails (I ended up with the Bluewave Get, also a nice product). I think the ES100 is better spec wise, and I'm planning to pick one up soon.
Not many reviews out there on the Get, but plenty of happy buyers of the ES100! I'd love if someone could compare the 2 at some point.
Edit: apparently the ES100 easily beats the Bluewave. So now I'll definitely be picking it up :)

Edit2: was reading about the ifi xDSD which apparently is fantastic. But it's 4x the price of the ES100, and has more tech built in.

175hrBurnInI think you will love them. Bass is insane. Detail is way up there. Mids and vocals are great. I'm back to buying DAP equipment, amp modules, gonna try them balanced. And most importantly I'm listening to all my music through these DM6 and enjoying every genre, every song and every minute. Haven't had this much enjoyment since I got my first pair of STAX electrostatics. And the best thing is they are reasonably priced and can be played out of any source of your choice and taken on long plane rides. Sorry for rant. But man they are so good I stopped looking at other headphones and I'm considering selling most I own and just keep these and my STAX collection.

Yikes. Was hit with $34 in tariffs. Not necessarily worth it to buy it through MassDrop then. Hopefully it was worth the effort and ridiculous $9.95 CBSA handling fee. I'm starting to move away from buying from MassDrop simply because every single package (and I do mean every) I order from them is now subject to opening or tariffs from the CBSA.

I have always been taxed for food, so not sure why except food? But I know for sure no tax on raw coffee/tea products. For Ontarians, there is also the no PST for processed food below $4 . But we still have to pay GST. Which province/ territory are you from? No tax on food! I will move to your place after I retire.

Fair comment - I do have a couple of DAP's, but I do most of my listening with IEMs 'on the go' and I listen to streaming a lot. That being said, the DMG did not 'scale' a lot on my home rig, but my Noble X does. As I said before, I think the FH5 and Orion are better, but for the price the DMG is a great deal.
