No Reviews section? but I has one! Wasn't planning an early release but may have to push it to tomorrow. Just hope the Cloth Pads are an option. https://youtu.be/zBt8Ly0AEHs http://massdrop.7eer.net/9d15j

Also true lol @trellus . Considering it's Zeos job hopefully that memory hasn't gotten to unreliable.. they're obviously still a great planar from what I understood so that's possibly going to be the main selling point here.. also the fact they are using the same driver as the Sendy. Obviously if the Sendy is more aggressive by memory it's probably slightly more detailed as well..but maybe the B20 is more forgiving hopefully.

That's valid, and thank you for being civil. I effectively deleted what I said, but left the comment in tact due to discussion had by others.

I couldnt get past the super small sendy soundstage. So i bet this has the same limitation. Like its an open back planar. It should have a huge soundstage but the Sendy sure didnt. Is the Blon different?

M1070 and M1570 look like they have addressed the build on monoliths, the blon looks to be well put together too. I also think they are revising the Phantom from the feedback given.

Thanks z for chiming in! I have the m1060v2 and M1060c both modded and am looking for an upgrade. The sendy left me wanting in the width department. Would the Blon beat the m1060 without grills in width??

BUY OR NOT?!? I loves me some bass and don't like those super highs. (I think I like mids reduced a bit but not as important as the high/lows) Currently either running off my Airist R-2R/789 or Schiit Modi/Loki/Magni via optical. I have below and many more but these are my low/mid-fi highlights with pads/cables/mods/etc: Fostex TH-X00 Purp Hearts (really really like these) Sennheiser 6XX HiFiMAN HE4XX Beyerdynamics DT770 (250 Ohm) I am looking for something new under or around ~$600 and these Sendy knockers look tempting. My Purps are my go-to and I don't know if these would dethrone them... thoughts?

I'm not sure if there's anything else like the purplehearts. I have the mahogany and there is nothing like them that I've found, everything that can compete with the bass usually has hot treble, and that messes up what I love about the THX-00's. The purplehearts though, they're beyond even the mahogany, there isn't anything with that kinda "fun" over the top sound, the THX-00's do sub bass unlike any other headphone I can find, and I too have been searching for over 2 years, so it's a really, really tough ask to find something that does the PH better than the PH. Good luck on the search.

rottentreatsIf you can have a listening session with the Sony MDR Z7 I highly advice you to do so. They have the exact sound signature that you described to love plus added sound-stage. Sony did a marvelous Job with their two models Z7 and Z1R. They have all you like plus you can use them in public and at bed in the night as closed back. I have many headphones as listed in my Profile Bio but the Z7 are by miles my favorite and the most used every day.

*I edited post*...This likely has the same driver being used in a few headphones now, at least 5 or more. As others mentioned Sendy Avia and Takstar HF580, also add to the list (*edit= not Acoustic Research AR-H1, apologize for wrong data*) the Sivga planar which may be a shared oem badged differently from Blon B20. Sivga & Blon seem to "share" other models. The Sendy has the best reviews, if digging thru all the reviews of these models so far on the web, but some of the newest released models don't have much info or reviews yet. There are some comparative reviews between some of the 5 models if digging thru the web. It would be great to have a 5-way comparative review, and there may be more models released too. Just sayin' if anyone is interested.

No prob- I actually wasn’t calling you out, I was looking for sources for that information as it would make the purchase for either more lucrative. Plus I was curious about the damping and cup differences if they were the same because the sound is so different.

I take it that you own the M570, Blon B20, and the Sendy Aiva. How do they all compare comfort wise for you?

ZenosI think the Sendy Avia's are the most comfortable, followed by the Blon B20, then the Monoprice M570. All are pretty good but the Sendy's are one of my favorites.

Has anyone who ordered in March received their B20's yet? Ours were stuck at the Shenzhen Guangdong air freight center for 3 weeks & I was posting this whinge note, checked to confirm spellings and LO! "Arrived into the US SAN FRANCISCO, CA, 94128, USA" So now it's just a matter of waiting for them to ooze through customs - inching along somewhere behind the flood of urgently needed medical supplies - my audiophile greed will stay on hold until things calm down, lives <are> more important than tunes....

Awesome! I have heard good things about the Sundaras. The computer speaker is me being too lazy to take 2 steps to put it on a stand. I will leave these playing on the stereo downstairs overnight.

Suspiciously identical to SendyAudio being sold here. Just a cheap Chinese mass-production planars rebranded and sold twice as much than it worth.

maybe I am confusing these with the Sivga’s and Sendy’s. Come to think of it, I think that Zeos actually said that the Blon’s actually had a wider stage than the other too and that they’re tuned a bit differently.

I'll admit ignorance, unfamiliar with this brand. Is there more than looks here and if so what is their sound like?

They are opposites in regards of sound. The Aiva style headphone is bright and aggressive, it gains ALOT from using a very padded earpad as the more separation you get between your ear and the headphone you gain in stage, which it needs because of how small the cup is. You can go leather to try to tame some of the treble in the blon b20 if you find that fatiguing (i don't but im using ZMF oval cowhide pads, and i almost instantly removed the stock pads for brainwavz sheepskin as i found stock pads to be too thin... keep in mind i was an early adopter and the current stock pad is not what i got). The stock phantoms has very few fans... but the size of the driver and the size of the cup makes it a very nice stage, specially if you change the pads as stock ones are also kind of thin and your ear might be too close to the driver. Once you mod them you will make them brighter and more fun to listen to, you can read this great review from Antdroid in which he compares them to other popular planar headphones in the price range: https://www.antdroid.net/2019/10/thieaudio-phantom-planar-magnetic.html
