I've been carrying my Quiet Carry IQ knife for over a few weeks now and this is the best "gentleman's knife" I've ever used. This knife is understated, meaning, it won't scare coworkers or people sitting at dinner with you when you use the knife. The IQ is made from top notch materials, ELMAX blade steel, grade 5 titanium handle scales, caged ceramic bearings ect.. The blade is a modified sheepsfoot and is one of the best slicing knives I've ever used. The 3D machining on the show side of the knife provides excellent grip and control. The action is silky smooth and has a positive lockup. I own a CRKT EROS titanium that is a "gentleman's knife" with a price tag of over $200 usd and that knife falls leagues short of the Quiet Carry IQ. Great materials, excellent execution, with a well thought out design that functions perfectly. 👍👍

I've been carrying the Drop/Quiet Carry iQ and Shorty for a couple of weeks now. The iQ is brilliantly designed as a capable light EDC, all the details are perfectly executed and the Shorty is a great little key organizer too. They make an excellent team. The action is smooth and reliable, lively on the opening and decent closing swing too considering the beautiful thin blade. The flipper tab is intuitive and the lockup feels secure, while the skinny blade glides through materials nicely. The iQ is a kwaiken style straight design with a reverse tanto blade in Bohler Elmax steel. Elmax is a great all around stainless steel in a folding knife, somewhere between S35VN and M390 in terms of edge retention and wear resistance, good corrosion resistance, it is another interesting choice for the iQ.   Everything about the iQ shows thoughtfulness in pursuit of making a purpose-built low key daily carry knife. The knurled pattern on the presentation scale is evenly milled and feels great, while the smooth stonewashed lock scale with an internal lockbar cutout is perfect for smoothly going in and out of pockets. The pocket clip is outstanding as well, the placement and style provides lots of retention and tolerance for different fabric types. As light as the knife is, it goes well in slacks or athletic shorts, and the generous spaced clip works well on jeans too.  The iQ is a beautiful break from a recent fixation on larger knives, and I think anyone with no Elmax or an interest in a no-nonsense but feature filled cutting tool would be happy with it. The knurling plus contoured lock side is exquisite and it's nice just as a tactile object when closed.

I want to say it was $200 even, I feel like it was pretty competitive with the other versions of the IQ considering all the milling. I wish they'd bring back the non-Amazon outlet here :(

Impressive construction, sublime style.
I've been very pleased with the materials, and the construction of this little pocketknife. It is very well made and the design (as I mentioned in the headline) is sublime. It's beautiful, and functional as well. My only complaint would be that the clip is so tight, it's hard to get it clipped on, or to remove it once clipped. My guess is that this may 'limber up' over time, and isn't a showstopper. I've gotten several compliments from other EDC guys, as well as an older gentleman who still carries a "Case" knife loose in his pocket. No judgement here, but he said if he'd known they made pocketknives like that these days he'd have gotten one a long time ago. 90 out of 100 here.

Over the past few weeks the Drop + Quiet Carry IQ knife and Shorty key organizer have become staples of my edc rotation. The IQ is a beautifully machined piece of functional art.  Its ultra slim profile, a milled and well integrated deep carry clip make it just as appropriate for a pair of dress slacks as well as weekend shenanigans. The contoured frames feel great in hand. An intricately milled pattern on the show side allows for a confident grip and makes for a very bold visual statement. The modified sheepsfoot blade deploys using a low profile flipper tab with very functional jimping. The action is crisp and smooth with a perfectly tuned detent and lock up. Riding on caged ceramic bearings the blade glides open and conceals completely when closed. Which can be a tricky thing to do when designing a folder. Another elegant solution is the   internal lockbar stabilizer to prevent over travel. Cutting performance has been great too. Relatively thin blade stock and a nice even flat grind that terminates to keen edge has handled anything I’ve thrown at it. I even broke down some large boxes which is a task I wouldn’t naturally attribute to a small slim folder, but the IQ took it in stride! As for the Shorty, I have never been much of a “key organizer” type of guy but the Shorty won me over with its size, useful features, and surprisingly slick action! I have been carrying the multi tool variety as i feel it’s been a perfect companion piece to the IQ or any other knife I happen to be carrying. Overall these two pieces have been serving me well and I’m pretty sure they will do the same for you! Levon KnifeNutsPodcast.com @knifenutspodcast

Slick!
I love it. It's quite the gentleman's flipper. The pictures don't do it justice for how slim it is. The drop point blade is different, yet functional (with a little rocker) and flips out perfectly.

The only thing I might change is the knurling (it's a little rough for my taste); it definitely adds grip, but I think I would prefer a simple stone wash on this knife.

Very Nice Knife
This is a very nice knife. I have carried it for about a month to make sure I enjoyed it enough to justify shipping it off to get get the blade stonewashed since I'm not the biggest fan of satin blades. Personally I think it makes a great gentleman's carry. It's not overstated but still looks really classy especially with that milling on the showside of the knife. Also the sheep's foot blades isn't pointy, stabby, aggressive if you happen to pull it out around people that are a bit nervous around pointy objects. The down side to that is you have to be a bit more deliberate with the way you approach tasks that involve a stabbing motion, it's not quite as easy as clip-point or drop point blade. Can't take away anything for that though since by design that's how every sheep's foot blade is.

This is a perfect size for my edc and I find the blade style perfect for my needs (slicing salami, cheese, etc. and the occasional every day cutting tasks.) My first Elmax blade so it will be a while until I know what I really think about it but the action is smooth and reliable. Overall I like it so far.

Beautiful light duty EDC
The fit and finish is superb...especially the show side mill work. Very light weight. Thin blade stock that is well ground. An excellent clip to boot. My favorite small Gentleman's carry.

Good knife
centering was off on mine and seemed like pivot wasn’t even tight had to loctite pivot it just kept loosing up. Other then that knife is great super thin and light great flipper/flipper tab. Machining on titanium is on point super grippy. I have the all black version wanted the sliver but couldn’t pass on it regardless. This is the best looking version of this knife I’ve seen. If you didn’t get one no worries looks like drop is restocking because is says out of stock not what it usually says.

Smaller than I expected but still increible
I love this knife. It is one of my all time favorites. Only reason why it got 4 stars is that if you don't hold it right when you open it then the frame lock will prevent it from opening properly. The small size of the knife doesn't make it any easier. After about a day of using it I was fully used to it though. It is just disappointing when I show it to people and they can't open it properly.
