I dont understand why they dont make any of their gaming headsets with the mic detachable. They would look so much better and have a wider range of customer.
I just landed a ps5 within the last week and wanted some gaming headphones to go with it. With all of the reviews for the pc38x, I went ahead and purchased it. After a couple days, I received the Drop email about the EPOS line and the 601 set intrigued me, so I canceled the pc38x order to see reviews. I realize that these are closed back, while the pc38x are open. I will mainly use the microphone for FPS type games (e.g., call of duty multi-player), otherwise, I don't see me using the microphone that often. I already have a nice headphone set up - Sennheiser HD 6xx and dac/amp stack (Topping D50/JDS Atom) for desktop use, so I'm not necessarily looking for a set of cans for the desktop/music area. I also don't game on a pc/desktop; console only. I already have knowledge of the sound stage and other technicalities between open/closed back, so I'm mainly wanting opinions on why I should go with the pc38x - as initially planned - versus the EPOS 601 line up. They're the same price, so is there any benefits of quality on one or the other.
Any info on the warranty? PC38X comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty, but none of the items in EPOS BRAND SPOTLIGHT have written warranty info. I am curious if the warranty would work overseas if I pay for intl shipping.
