Final Audio’s VR series headphones are designed to provide a well-rounded, immersive audio experience for gaming. While conventional stereo headphones often produce unwanted artifacts when reproducing binaural audio—particularly in the high end—both the VR1000 and the VR3000 deliver more accurate 3D soundstages. First up is the VR1000: a simple, accessible pair of earbuds tuned for natural sound. The 6.4-millimeter driver in each earbud is tuned to support plenty of low end—and due to the coil-and-adhesive construction of this diaphragm, Final Audio projects that the spectrum will get more delicate and more detailed over time as the drivers burn in. The angled fit of each earbud (what Final Audio calls “swing fit”) and the two different types of included ear tips make these VR gaming-focused IEMs ideal for long sessions.

The VR3000 earphones take the 3D audio of the VR1000 a few steps further. The most obvious difference is the design, which showcases a polygon-esque contour and a shape reminiscent of over-ear, stage-grade IEMs. The other key improvement is the redesigned F-Core dynamic driver, created in-house in a brand-new facility. It uses a smaller 6-millimeter diaphragm that sits in a copper housing, shielding it from magnetic interference and providing a less-affected, cleaner sound. And because the shape contours to your outer ear and points the ear tip in toward the canal, you’ll get a superb seal and solid isolation. Like the VR1000, the VR3000 is compatible with first-gen Oculus VR setups and makes for a great way to upgrade your headset gaming.
