Overall a decent product. The sound quality is fine and the features given are definitely a plus for this price point. Mine had a defect where all audio through it became static that was so loud that I jumped out of my seat tossing my poor headphones with it. A simple restart fixed it. For the scratches to the headphones, I can't fully recommend.
I will update this review when I receive a power cable.
Edit/Update: Drop was not able to provide a power cable but gave a partial refund.
For its price this is great. Haven't had any major issues with the headphones I've used on it. There's some slight noise when using but it's not a massive hindrance and disappears at lower volumes which works fine for me. I have this set up on my bedside table and don't want to wake my partner when I'm listening in bed.
Powering my HD 6XX is no simple task. Throwing a portable Lucid Labs CMOY at these bad boys works for causal use on the go, but when you wanna listen to that one song that has the base of a 16 wheeler revving at a stop light, there is no match to DAC-X6. The hertz capability is to the max of the headphones and it’s cheap! Also did a mention it has Bluetooth 🤤
Seems like the Bluetooth connection could have a bit more range, but otherwise no complaints. I use it to stream music to an old system and it does exactly what I need it too.
I needed to give my receiver a new look and I did it with this DAC, for its value I was surprised by the amount of options it has and the audio is good for what it pays. A good all-in-one that helps me a lot with its bluetooth for when I need mobility
