I have this watch and really like the unusual dial layout. My only caution is that at 45mm it seems to wear a bit larger than that. It's the only Gervil/GV2 in my collection and I'm happy to have it.
CloacaI recommend Laurence Bergreen's 2012 book Columbus: The Four Voyages, 1492-1504 for a mostly depoliticized, nontendentious history. There was so much that I had never heard of, like the story his bare-bones fourth voyage, the only one in which he reached the American mainland in Central America.
For a while there, around the quincentenary, you could literally not find a book on Columbus that wasn't wall-to-wall hectoring.
