Glycine has been producing timepieces since 1914, a testament to its ability to adapt to the modern world. Perhaps best known for its 24-hour Airman tool watch, Glycine has recreated the vibe of one of its most iconic watches with the Airman 18 Read More
I really like to have this watch, I already have 2 Glycine watches (combat moonphase and combat sub goldeneye). But as I've checked before, lot of several sites and shops sold it for $419.00 brand new. And that is for their sale retail price. I really hope Massdrop (mass buying), would offer the same price or maybe lower than that. I miss the old massdrop that whenever the # of buyers join increases, price decreases.
I don't believe it's a "fan" thing, just that not everyone has had the issues you have had with selita. I've had one bad one (yes, in an invicta) but all the rest have worked fine for me. I don't think it's the movement but the companies not doing quality checks before and after assembly.
mmek12Okay that’s fine I’ll agree but I won’t be dealing with these companies anymore I’d rather save my money until I can afford a watch made by companies that do produce quality timepieces
Damn, wearing my base 22 today. If I didn’t already have an airman I’d pick this up in a heartbeat. Pretty perfect size wise. Bezels are a bit bold but solid drop 👌
Admittedly I'm not the biggest Glycine fan (I've always found their line up just a little confusing), but can anyone in the know tell me why I'm not able to find any of these models on Glycine's own site?

Invicta didn’t change the logo that was changed way before They took over there was a lot of old stock new logo eta’s for sale not to long ago really cheap they were decent watches for the price back then like $349 now I wouldn’t pay $150 for any glycine now and on this site even if they specify eta 25 jewels they send you 26 jewels sellita crap
ED61**UPDATED WITH LINKS** - thought this was useful info because the logo history is very confusing.
True on the logo.. I believe it's the result of acquisitions // a lawsuit with Armani.. Quick timeline:
2014 - Glycine is acquired by a market expansion group, "DKSH"
Aim is to get more penetration into the Asia markets.
2015 - Glycine switches from crown logo --> "winged crown"
Summer, 2016 - Invicta consumes Glycine
Summer, 2017 - Armani Exchange files lawsuit against Glycine/Invicta
Fall, 2018 - Court decision requiring Glycine to abandon "winged crown"
Summer, 2019 - Glycine successfully appeals, ability to produce "winged crown" again.

This is a great chance to get a really nice watch at a very reasonable price. Personally, I'd go for a purist, but YMMV. I've had one for over a year and it's in regular rotation.
Hello everyone, I know very little about this brand, Glycine. Is it good or not? I noticed it retails for nearly $3k but here it’s not even $600? Is it wrong that I am skeptical And this could be an imitation or would it be the real thing?
‘Thanks. A
Unfortunately owned by Invicta now. But still love the Airman’s and think this drop is totally worth it; especially since I have been desperately trying find one for the past 6 months.
ColorBlindI'm aware. This pricing model, like the "eagle" logo change, began before the Invicta takeover however.
And, IMO, it's not just Glycines that are overpriced at RRP; it's the entire Swiss watch industry. Glycine at least (and to its credit) appears to have somewhat acknowledged the fact. But yes, the inflated RRP has become a fantasy...
I thought I'd read that the trail points to the non Zulu time in the afternoon? (So at 20:00 the trail points to 08:00 so 8pm). Always seemed tenuous but looks more distinctive than the purist hands. Like this but just got the sst purist
This is an incredible deal!!! I paid almost 3 times this much for the same watch several years ago and it was a great watch at that price. On top of that apparently Glycine has changed their lineup this year so this style will become increasingly hard to find. And I know it is a matter of taste but their new stuff just looks terrible.
JoysimathYeah I wasn't too impressed with their new lineup. Can't tell you how hard it is for me to resist this drop for the original dial design. I already have the Base 22 Mystery and love it to bits.
MD if you by chance get the Airman No.1 purist... I WILL THROW YOU MY MONEY!!!!
Thedonn007I've noticed this 3-4 times this past week; I get an email in the morning, click on the link in the afternoon, and it's already "sold through" :/
Turns out I left my browser open on this page this morning, and opened a second one just 12 hours later without realizing, and sure enough, looks like they only had one to sell...
Thedonn007Think I was the lucky one who got this drop, black GMT model. Just received my watch here in Australia yesterday but its bit small for my wrist. DM me if you are still keen to buy
