Disappointed to find out that this whole set not only didn't ship on time but is actually more expensive than the sum of all the pieces via Amazon Prime as of 12/13/2017: 2 notebook sets at 14.95 + hardcover notebook at 14.64 + pencil set at 13.12 = $57.66 via Prime versus $59.74 final price with shipping through Massdrop. Right now the notepads are out of stock at Amazon but I'm guessing the same supply issue is holding up the ship date on this drop. I'm going to be extremely skeptical of offerings on here as a result in the future.

We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us!

My DH has the hardcover notebooks. He likes them just for their unusualness, says the Code&Quill are better quality and just more useable. Still he dropped hints about the upcoming grey edition of the Grids&Guides.

intelinaI wouldn't say the Code&Quills are better than the Grids&Guides, but they are simpler which makes them more flexible and more versatile. For instance, you could use the C&Q as a regular notebook, journal, lab book or daily planner, the G&G just would not let you do that in a meaningful way. On the other hand, the G&G offers you a multitude of guides for sketches and designs whereas the C&Q can only manage one. So this specialization does not really detract from the value of the G&G. They are fine notebooks and the only ones I can think of which you could browse empty without looking completely nuts.* I have the red and the black one and I would join this drop if I could get just the hardcovers by themselves.
*Not there is anything wrong with browsing an unused, freshly-cracked Seven Seas or Leuchturm1917 ;)
