So far so good. I didn't expected the cans to be so large but I don't mind, my ears are comfy and warm (is winter here).
I have a Sennheiser HD 58X so I will use it for comparison and for dac/amp I run both on a Fiio K3.
Soundwise I found Helios to be more on the bass side, sound is very clear and so far I didn't notice any distortion or noise, they worked fine out of the box so no problems there. They drive a more strong sound than HD58X but not so detailed, I might have to play with them a little more for warm them up.**Quick Update** After some days using this headphones I can say they are more detailed than HD58X. In games the difference is quite noticeable, sounds and music sound with great detail, positional awareness is also better with this on and overall music feels robust. In my ears, this are better than HD58X for gaming, for music... it depends. With HD58X I have to use more gain in my K3, but with Helios you don't really need that much. I am really happy with this. **End of Update**
One detail I notice was on the left can, the metal plate was a bit loose so it vibrated while I was listening to music. A few turns to the star screws and everything was fine from there.
They are quite beautiful, feel sturdy on hand but I don't get used to the weight yet, hd58x are much more light because of the plastic, so I guess Helios should last. My only concern will be the headband, being the only and main piece made of plastic, I don't know how is going to perform over the years after the stress.
I like how they sound, how they look, and I think HarmonicDyne made a great job here. This is my first pair from them so as first impression I am quite pleased.
Here's some pictures.
