Thanks. I got too excited after joining the drop for the IEM. I will wait until I have the buds and from there decide if I need the amp. I like playing my music loud.
Thanks. I'll decide if I need an amp or not once I have the IEM on-hand and most likely I will. I like playing my music loud. My first decent headphone is an AKG M220 and DT 880 Pro 250 Ohm paired with an FX-Audio-DAC-X6. I had decent volume w/ the M220 since it has a lower impedance, but the 880 Pro struggled. Since then I got a Spark and I'm happy with this new pairing. So basing it off that, I'm assuming I will need an amp.
Because I am a glutton for punishment, I keep buying KZ IEMs. I have way to many of them now, and all of them save one, sit in a drawer in my bedroom. The KZ ZS10 Pro is the only KZ IEM I would consider recommending. They finally got the tuning right. Well extended (sub) bass, no bloated mid bass hump, thick and detailed mids, and detailed treble that flirts with the edge of to much but almost never crosses it (foam tips tame it as well). These are a great buy at $40.
This is a good price, but when you can get the ZSX for a little bit more and not have to wait for Drop's shipping time, I don't see much of the appeal. I have both and I think the ZS10 Pro has horribly bloated bass by comparison to the ZSX.
No way, the fit of the KZ zsx is phenomenal and perfect if you’re not laying on a pillow. It’s a littttle less comfortable than the most comfortable iems in the world. That’s my small nitpick.
I'm still showing "reserved for shipping" from 1/19/21... this place is apparently ran by incompetent individuals with shit customer service... never buying from this "wish" tier site... SHIP MY GODDAMN ORDER I PAID FOR 2 MONTHS AGO
OsandovI can't compare them to the JBL Synchros but I can say these are very nice IEMs for the money. Of all the KZ models I have, these are the best sounding to me. They have really nice bass extension that is solid and the treble is smooth and airy without being harsh or sibilant. I would say it is one of the most balanced models by KZ. I also own the AS10, ZS10 and ZSN models and these are better than them all in my opinion. They aren't really neutral as they have a v-shaped signature like pretty much all KZ products but it is very well done. They are quite comfortable due to the newer shape adopted by KZ like the ZSN model before it. These actually feel more substantial with better quality due to the resin plastic and stainless plate on the outside. It would seem they are shipping with 2 different cables as the one I received was not the one usually pictured with the unit. I got mine from Linsoul via Amazon. The cable I received without microphone was a brown cable with black connectors and a wired ear hook assembly. The other cable pictured and apparently provided in certain circumstances is a better design with clear plastic covers (that surround the protruding 2 pin receiver) on the connectors and a molded plastic ear hook feature. I quickly upgraded the cable with one I already had. Even though I have a bunch of other more expensive IEMs in my collection I will definitely listen to these often as I find their signature engaging, fun and easy to listen to.
