Is the volume knob stepped similar to Violectric models? I used to own Violectric V200 but I find the treble roll off bug me, I wonder if it's the same on Lake People models?

Lake People is the same company behind Violectric. This is a good price for a nice piece of kit made in Germany and solidly built. I used to own this model and it performed extremely well for me.

BillqsMay I ask why you sold it or what you upgrade to? I used to own Violectric V200 but I find the treble roll off bug me so I wonder if this would be better. Granted it would be consider as "downgrade" by most people lol.

Open the case to adjust jumpers for headphone impedance? What year is this? For this price you can get balanced output and better I/O options. Not sure what niche this occupies but I can think of better products for the money for any usage.

I have an RME ADI-2 DAC and a JDS Labs Atom+ stack. I use the same gain setting all the time on all of these for all the headphones I have, which is low gain for both. Maybe it is different for you, but once I have things dialed in, I don't spend a lot of time playing with the buttons. From a pro audio stand point, jumpers isn't odd at all. Lake People is more of a pro audio/studio audio company than a consumer audio company. $200 doesn't seem like crazy money for Lake People equipment.

JimmybucketsMy application is actually a lot different. I do a lot of A/B listening between multiple headphones, multiple sources, and multiple amps. Being able to adjust on the fly to the listening situation is important to me.
