method_burger"Our handle perfectly captures the Manichaean duality which underlies our waking existence and reminds the wearer that all men are either praisably good or shankably evil in their hearts and that the rich, multicultural tapestry of our world is comprised of the endless battle between these opposites playing out; G-10 for the bright heart of Ahura Mazda which lights the sky each morning, and carbon fiber for the black hearted Ahriman, serpent of the gods, enemy of all."
I bought this model with different handle material a few years ago about the same price. Absolutely the worst Italian made knife I've ever seen. Very very poor quality. There were big gaps between the two type handle materials. The liner lock is so thin, it's weak, and still pushes the blade out of true a lot due to the weaker body structure. Blade profile was not symmetric, factory sharpening is worse than some aliexpress unnamed brands. I decided not to purchase another Maserin ever since. Stick with lionsteel and viper, they have much better quality control.
DeSTiNeI have a couple of Maserin (the Carbon 392 and the 378 AM2) and they are very well made (especially the 378! It's a beauty to behold!).
This particular model may be more poorly handled however; the very low price may indicate some corners cut in the manufacturing processes, to keep costs low.
BobrazYou can have the following from Italy...
A: well made
B: cheap
Pick one. Not to say a cheap item isn't quality, but the fitment will suffer heavily because of distinct lack of give a damn.
