Does anybody can find the power ouput for each impedance from 16 ohms to 600 ohms ? Could not find it on technical specs list. How does anybody find it on high impedance dynamic such as 300 ohms and 600 ohms on this amp ?

Not much other than it's the motion of the speaker after the audio signal has stop and high and low df affect bass. However what I confused is how the df would be an issue if everything paired correctly terms power, current and resistance. If your applying that even if power, current and resistance are matched correctly you can still have a df issue then that beyond my understanding. Sorry I don't have answer for you. Though you gave me a lot of food for thought.

Hi. Could this amp benefit from a bit more juice? From the original 1.25 A to 1.5 A or even 2 A? Anyone tried this? I feel that the sound (have Verums connected) is lacking a bit of punch, replacing the original PSU on Loxjie P20 made a noticeable difference in this department, makes me wonder if I should perhaps try this on the LCX...

Hey, i have a liquid carbon x paired with a pair of sennheiser 6xx. Does anybody know if i should get a standard or balanced dac? Would also really appreciete any recommendations on a specific dac as i am new to the whole audiophile community and just want to listen to some Deadmau5 in ultra quality.

MaxDHIt really doesn't matter that much if your headphones run balanced or not as long as the amp is powerful enough and you don't have a problem with noise. The balanced technology was originally invented to prevent noise over long cable runs (tens of meters, and even upwards of a hundred) so when the signal from a DAC reaches an AMP the noise is removed. This should not be an issue when your DAC and AMP is right on top of your AMP. Balanced is often used for headphones just to get more power with each channel being driven separately. If you do not have any issue with low volume this should not matter in any meaningful way.

Side by side comparison with THX 789. Using LCX to drive my R10, WOW!! So good, I am rediscovering my favorite tracks to relearn the definition of sound-stage, detail, treble, bass, imaging, and accuracy. With its unique tube flavor tuning, the Liquid Carbon X has more musical taste and it is a perfect match for Hifiman Planars. It is better than THX 789 for my ears. Recommend using XLR input and output.

looking for some advice; I bought the hybrid tube headphone amp by massdrop and Cavalli and have a record player plugged directly into it and the sound is awesome. Wondering if adding this between the headphone and record player might improve the sound even more? Thoughts or advice?
gdhourThis amp has a passthrough output so you could run the turntable into the LCX RCA input and then connect the passthrough to the CTH and compare for yourself. I wouldn't expect a huge difference but every set of ears and almost every system varies, only you can decide in the end.

VictorKapYou can use your computers internal DAC, but if you are going to invest in this killer amp, it will reviel the shortcomings of your laptops onboard DAC. Are you planning to go fully balanced to your cans? If so, you'd benefit from a DAC that can support that, such as the SDAC-B here on Drop, of the Topping 30 or 50, or the brand new SMSL M200 (balanced with bluetooth), or the SMSL SU-8, or wait for the SU-9, or look at the offerings from Schiit. There are more options, but you go up in price. Hope this helps, Eric.

purcellerhi. which Topping 30 or 50 do you mean? neither D30, nor D50 are balanced.

this amp is much larger than the original Cavalli Liquid Carbon box (perfect size for my desk) and though it is much bigger the power supply is not inside but outside as a bulky power brick. Why does Drop have to use such mega big boxes to enclose their amps?
malin.reindeerso the footprint matches the others
