Product Description
Tactical watches are great when you’re in the field or going for a swim, but they don’t transition well at the office or out on the town. Dress watches look great, but you’d never wear one on a camping trip Read More

Function and style, defined. Awesome watch. Lightweight and luminous, just as much at home in the office or off the grid.

Just got my Massdrop x ArmourLite Ember T100 Tritium Watch and WOW! What a beautiful, light watch! Here's a side by side comparison with my daily watch, the Armourlite Officer's Model (black dial). I've installed Barton Watch Bands Silicone straps on both:

Problem With Watch
Updated 9/16/19: My previous daily driver was an Armourlite Officer series that I wore continuously on wrist for years. It ran flawlessly the entire time and still works to this day, tritium tubes still clearly visible. Given the quality of my previous watch, I wanted to replace my old daily driver with another Armourlite, so I ordered the blue titanium with bracelet version of the Massdrop watch. Unfortunately, I initially had an issue with the watch not keeping time correctly and with a screw on one of the lug bars not securing down correctly. The customer service response to my issues were nothing short of brilliant. I received help, not only from Drop, but also directly from Armourlite. With Armourlite having me return the watch directly to them for testing. They were not able to determine the cause of the time keeping error, but they repaired the watch and had it returned to me promptly. The fixed watch keeps very good time and the lug bars are secure once again. As for the watch itself, it's flipping awesome. It's SO LIGHT WEIGHT! It definitely disappears on the wrist due to the ultra-light weight and wide comfortable band that disperses the weight evenly across the wrist. The tubes are so bright you can practically use it as a flashlight. This is an extremely comfortable and practical daily driver. I'm very happy with it. As for criticisms, I would really like to see just a touch more flare to the dial. Bigger numerals and perhaps a sunburst pattern, texture or some other bit of character added to the dial. It's a great watch, but perhaps a bit plain in terms of looks.

Very happy with this transaction. To those who were appalled by the Massdrop on the face, you have to be trying to find it to see it. Love the tritium, it's super bright. I'd like to see the next collaboration with Armourlite be an automatic.

Great watch. Super lite and comfortable on the wrist. The tritium tubes definitely make the watch shine at night. My only con is the nylon strap it comes with; it is very thin and detracts from the overall aesthetic. Some images in a wrist-check.

The first T100 I ordered had a nick in the titanium case. I know that titanium is prone to scratching very easily but I still exchanged it since I figured I should be receiving a product without any wear on it. My one complaint about the transaction is that, while I paid for the fastest shipping option the first time around, the replacement was sent normal Smartpost (which, as we all know, is slow as hell) so I burned that money on shipping. Still, the process was painless with Drop sending me a shipping label and shipping out the replacement as soon as they saw I dropped off the return with UPS. For the replacement, I decided to upgrade to the titanium band as well. The first one I ordered had the blue nylon strap which was quite cheaply made compared to even the inexpensive NATO straps you can get from sites like Crown & Buckle. So I figured I might as well get something unique like a titanium band in case I ever want to wear that band and order my own custom band options from a third-party (I use Crown & Buckle, their straps and bands are incredible). As someone who doesn't particularly like wearing watches, I've had no problem wearing this watch for days on end. Usually wearing a watch, if it impedes my wrist/hand movement at all or if I can feel it constantly, I only have the patience to keep it on through an event so maybe an evening at most. I own a Rolex Submariner that I never wear for this very reason. However, the T100 with its lightweight titanium case paired with a nylon NATO strap or, my personal favorite, a leather band is almost as light as a feather. I barely notice it, yet it's always there when I need it: to check the time, the day of the week, the date, and have this information quickly accessible and very visible in any lighting condition. The minimalist style of the watch face goes really well with a more luxurious-looking watch band, like a leather one (as opposed to a casual NATO strap, which also looks great with it). I purchased C&B's Black Label Aydin leather band for about $100. The dark brown leather of the band goes great with the navy blue face. It is worth mentioning that when tightening one of the screwbars, one of the screws that goes into the bar snapped. I contacted the manufacturer and they had never had this happen before so in addition to sending me a replacement, they're sending me a prepaid envelope to send the screwbar back so they can examine/study how it happened and improve their products further. For now though, I'm just using a simple 22mm fat spring bar and it's working fine. Here are some pictures of my T100 with C&B's Black Label Aydin leather band:

Ok, so here is my 2 cents, which in my house is worth about a half a cent. I have loved Luminox watches for about 20 years now. Loved the tridium aspect of them. This watch blows Luminox out of the water. It is pretty much as light as my Luminox, but more durable with a sapphire face and titanium body. I have a very physical job that I hit my watch on metal and such. The black doesn’t scratch. I like the fact that the pins are solid, not the crappy springs. The negative for me is the numbers could be bigger. They waste a lot of real estate when they could have made the numbers bigger. Other than that, I highly recommend this watch for anyone.

I received the blue dial with titanium bracelet the other day. I’m very impressed and highly recommend it to any watch enthusiast. The tritium capsules are very bright! The dial is satisfyingly simple without all the text of most watches making it very easy to instantly read the time. It gets extra high marks as having the day and date. The overall weight is so light you hardly know you’re wearing it. I also give this watch high marks as the one I received came with perfectly aligned day and date display as well as perfectly aligned hands, and the second hand ticks on the dial markers. The watch also came with a NATO strap which I haven’t tried yet, but straps are a personal choice and based on the 22mm lug width, their are plenty of choices out there. I however will continue to use the titanium bracelet due to the light weight and easy buckle adjustment. The ability however to change into any number of straps is simple to do as the watch came with two tools to change the band without scratching the watchcase. There are plenty of links that can be removed from both sides of the bracelet to fit just about any size wrist...and the case size is perfect and just the right thickness. The screw down crown gives extra security for water tightness and is very smooth to operate. The team that assembled these watches really knew what they were doing, as again, from smooth action with the crown, to the perfectly aligned hands and date, the watch functions exactly as intended. The hour numbers on the dial are just the right color and intensity, and the Massdrop name is in a good location and very understated, as the star of the dial are the tritium tubes. This is a great night/bedtime watch. As the sun sets you instantly see the glow of the tritium tubes begin to take over and glow brightly, and throughout the night with a quick glance you know exactly what the time is. You then wake up and know exactly what the day and date is. This watch does what it’s supposed to do perfectly!

RichrichierichardGreat review, thanks. I really would like this watch, but I can't decide if I should go for Blue or Black version. At first I wanted the blue. But I also like the all black with Green trits and 4 Orange that goes on 12, 3, 6 and 9. (vs the 1 Orange at 12 and the rest Blue). I'll figure it out.
ThomasAasenIf I had to do it all over again, I’d go for the black dial.

I have forgotten what a titanium case watch is like day to day. It's light. Light to the point of feeling cheap, by not having any substantial "heft," or mass. My rating isn't based on the weight of the watch, rather the simple and bland styling. The minimalist look, that the only saving grace to the watch, is when it's dark, and you get to see the amazing night time light show. I also don't care one bit for the "Massdrop," logo. At least it's pretty hidden on the black face. Which when browsing from a mobile phone, you can hardly see. Must hold back on the impulse buys in the future.

I have 2 of these watches. The first was OK, but the second is great. Very bright tubes on par with much more expensive watches. I can tell that Massdrop working with the vendor has made great strides to improve the watch quality. Would definitely buy another!
