Hi everyone,
We’re checking in with an update on the Massdrop x Spyderco Endura Super Gold Steel knives. Production has completed and they are now en route to our warehouse. We’re excited to get these out to you soon. We’re also happy to share a few new images below of the Endura and the Delica side-by-side.
We’ll be back with another update as soon as the knives arrive at the warehouse!

This is my first Spyderco product. I never really cared for them for the simple fact they looked cheap to me with the nylon scales. With a little research though I will have a knife that is up to par with the premium steel. I have ordered a set of G10 scales, deep carry clip, anodized clip screws and a custom back spacer. I'll post pics when complete.

Very nice! Spyderco used to offer a G10 endura but discontinued them stupidly. When they do turn up on the secondary market they fetch a premium so aftermarket is the way to go for upgraded scales which is what ill be doing also. The FRN doesn't bother me but I would prefer G10. The micarta scales you have are very nice also and i hear Cuscadi does an excellent job. i wish i could carry micarta to work but it would get destroyed with my oily greasy mitts. (Oilfield mechanic). I own 6 enduras in all the different steels as its my favorite large edc. I just ordered a second supergold for a user. Its the only laminate blade i know of that Spyderco offers thats stainless which is what drew me to it. Your endura turned out great and thanks for sharing the pics.

I already have both the Endura and Delica in ZDP-189. Why would I also want them in SG2? What is SG2? Nobody is even talking about SG2 that I have been able to find.

I'm considering joining this drop, but have a question for the group. Another popular knife site (that I've used before) has the VG10 version of this knife on sale for $78 at the moment.
Is the SG2 steel really worth the $50 premium over the VG10?
Thanks for any input anyone might have on this!
Edit, for clarity, either knife will see significant amount of daily usage. My knives will never live in display cases.

You do you. Make your decisions with sound reasoning and hopefully never look back and regret those choices. 👍👍two thumbs up on being your own person. I personally really wanted a knife with sg2 steel and with this I know what I'm getting. The price, to me, is very reasonable and I can deal with the wait time. The delay sucks but it was almost expected. Anyways I'm always glad to hear when someone is enjoying a blade purchase so keep carving up steaks and enjoying

I received my knife and I’m dissatisfied. The knife is dull and when I lock the blade and the lightly bend at the joint the knife is loose. I have other spyderco knives and this one seems off. There is also a line about 5mm from the edge running the entire length of the blade.

In our last update, we stated the knives were on their way to our warehouse. Unfortunately, we misspoke and the knives were heading to the Spyderco warehouse. The knives are currently going through final quality control checks at Spyderco and we’re working with them to get these to our warehouse and shipped to you as soon as possible. We deeply apologize for the miscommunication.
We’re expecting an update from Spyderco in the next few days and will be providing more information as soon as it’s available. Thanks so much for your patience.

Since massdrop doesn’t seem capable of this I started talking to my super secret connection to Spyderco I have from a scout camp. The best I can get is a guesstimate for the knives to be shipping some time next month however this is just a guess, just figured I’d give everyone the info I could since not everyone has an in, if you would like some proof reply to this and I can email you it
