Massdrop used to be a good place to shop, but now you literally don't save any money compared to other places. The waiting time is horrible, usually takes at least 3 weeks or even longer to arrived. You can find some items cheaper elsewhere if you do little researches around. For examples, Beyer COP is currently available on eBay from Prostars Audio for $129 or you can buy Fostex Th900 from Sonic Senses Audio for under $1100. Spend money wisely, I'm not trying to offend anyone, including Massdrop.
deniall83Have you actually heard them both, or just reading reviews?

"The T1 has a great feel of clarity that lets you vision the music better, while the HD800 has a smooth and analog sound that lets you get a better mood of the music. "
Pretty much sums up what I was saying about T1s being neutral and HD800s making everything sound the same.
I didn't say the HD800s were bad, just that they seem a bit useless to review DACs.
LOL, first free shipping ever to Australia but all those 9 deters me. I rather the price be listed as $1000 instead.
Edit.
Come to think of it we paid GST from $1000 an above so 999.99 is good.
mydonkeykongWe pay GST from $1000 AUD so this being in USD would put it over $1000 AUD after currency conversion meaning we'd get hit with GST and duty.
mydonkeykongThis deal needs to be about $900USD for it to be feasible for Australians. I know this will do well if we can bring it through customs without silly taxes.
I'll be down for a unit if the price can be lowered ever so slightly to accommodate the tax office.
