I can vouch I was the first person to buy one of these and was not disappointed build quality is amazing and internals were really clean with no bad solder joints and battery is easily replaceable. You can also switch out the potentiometer knob in the front. I personally use it to drive my akg-k7XX . I didn't have my AKGs on hand when it came in but here are images http://imgur.com/a/VxcIh. My only gripe is I paid 100 bucks for it the charger and shipping vs getting it on massdrop lol.

without an ODAC ... would this be enough for my K7XX and a desktop pc? I would love to have the combo here at massdrop if possible

MikeGaringThe ODAC wouldn't have anything to do with driving headphones, the amp is what drives them. Yes, this will drive the K7XX. Stand alone ODAC's are on our website.

ConsciouswrdsbtYes, it comes with a 9v rechargeable battery but if you need to replace it you can take the back 2 screws off.

I once had a Mayflower custom O2, and let me tell you that their build quality is amazing. I would definitely recommend their products.

It would have been awesome if it had usb port for charging. I hate bringing all kind of different changers while on the go.
