New to MTG here, so I'm wondering what the more seasoned folks think of this drop? 1000+ commons in comparison to single digit numbers of the rares, holos (which I'm assuming could just be worthless common holos), and mythics makes it seem like just someone dumping their unwanted cards to me. Being from Canada, it is nice to see MTG on Massdrop that can actually ship to me, though.

BknguyenThis won't be much good to most people. Even new players won't find too much here because it's not going to be play balanced cards. However, there's one group that could benefit from this and that would be someone setting up a magic club in a school. Having several huge boxes of bulk jank can provide fodder for students to make pauper decks with cards from the boxes. You'll likely need to buy several boxes to get enough variety of cards and enough depth on staples to make that viable though. Other than that if you're into collecting cards this is a good way to get good common coverage since they're taking effort to limit duplicates.

C_h_u_c_kI still disagree. Brand new players likely wouldnt care about numbers balance. You need to learn the 150 keywords and the 15 stages of a turn and the game states and a whole whack of stuff before we think about if tarmagoyf is better or worse than vexing devil or whatever.
the thousand cards will give the new player a TON of info, lots of keywords, lots of strange things. Make some sample decks, obviously theyre going to suck, but youre brand new!

I got less than a dollar in value from mythics and rates and about 500 Kaladesh commons. Never again.

I got $6 in mythics/ rares/ uncommons and i got 988 common cards. So for $50 im not happy with this drop. Ill be very picky with buying anything from this website from now on.

Stop buying this crap. It's just that, honestly. Someone has pre picked through these cards to make sure they are not losing value to this. This is in no way good for you to buy. If you just want to buy random cards for a kid or something go to a local gaming store and buy out of the .05 and .10 bin because that's what you are getting here for way less value.

Don't get your hopes up regarding them throwing in 50-100 extra cards to make up for duplicates... they just threw in more duplicates. 81 Act of Treasons, 138 Akroan Crusaders, 45 Bog Raiders... and then a bunch of 10x/20x dupes I'm not wasting my time listing. Probably going to return this as it does not match the description whatsoever, failing that, chargeback time.
