they're alright?
when I bought these i kept hearing a ringing sound and it was constantly annoying me, the build quality was good but they were tight around my ears and a couple of my friends', theyre nice but not amazing you'd be better off getting something else.
First of all, the sound is amazing when paired with AptX HD, and I am very impressed with the flatness of the sound for a closed back. However the headphones creak a little when adjusting
Love these things. They're my dish-washing headphones, bluetooth-ed to a tablet on the window sill above the sink, and occasional commuting headphones paired with my phone in my pocket.
Sound signature is sublime. Fit and finish are brilliant for the price. Comfortable as any closed-back over-ear can be for extended periods. No pressure/folding of ears while wearing them. Easy to use. Look nice when not in use, and very bauhaus when on yer noggin.
Would just like to see some LHDC/LDAC/Aptx Adaptive support.
Noise cancelling doesn't quite match that of my wife's Bose QC35s, but everything else about these is comparable. amd they're prettier.
Recommend/10
Because of where I sit, I have Headphones on for a very long time, and I forgot how bad on-ears are. Basically, after two weeks of using these, my ear lobes started hurting badly, and I ended up switching back to my worst spec but more comfortable over-ear HyperX.
Sound is good, but not excellent. For that reason, I haven't been using them a lot and only for specific purpose (TV watching in a noisy environment or at night). Another problem for me was that I'm larger than average, including my ears, so the somewhat strange shape of the phones and the tight headband have been causing me discomfort.
To my big surprise, after about 6 months of very light use (one hour per week!), the right driver stopped producing any sound!? There was no visible damage to the headphones, I haven't dropped them or sat on them, never thrown them against the wall, etc. Put shortly, nothing eventful happened to the headphones and one side just died on me. Hence, I have to conclude that the quality is poor - as they didn't have a great sound to start with, were bad fit, and were reasonably priced, having them repaired does not make sense.
I cannot truly recommend them to anyone - maybe people with below-average heads. :-)
this is a great sounding headphone especially after taking into consideration discounted price. the main issue is unreliability of BT connection and microphone during call using cell or computer.
for Music listening it is great with EQ. Check out oratory's Nad HP70 eq settings and post EQ this headphone is just awesome. some of the questions around hp 50 vs 70- there is a nad hp designer's video floating around on youtube which pretty much states that hp50 and 70 are same audio design except wireless part of hp70.
They have a very pleasant sound, warm but detailed enough. I also have a set of B&W PX wireless, and I like these better, the noise cancelling feature of the NAD's has less impact on the sound. They seem to lose connection less frequently as well. They're certainly worth the killer sale price! I just wish the ear openings were a bit bigger....
I actually prefer these to the Pandas mostly because of the comfort( lighter) and sound which fits my preference better.
The price of 150 here, makes it very competitive as they currently retail for over 400.
