Would appreciate a recommendation for a portable dac/amp for the primo8 with galaxy s7 edge. I have no knowledge what so ever about amplifiers, and would like to spend the minimum amount with maximum probability

HenKiYou can use basically anything from FiiO. They're pretty good and you can find their stuff on Amazon.

HenKiI second the notion from buying FiiO. That or go with DragonFly USB DAC. I personally used the DragonFly USB DAC before owning my Questyle QP1R.

ZilventI would second buying a Dragonfly DAC if it's in the budget and it's probably the most portable / high quality DAC you can get. Pair that with the fact that it is MQA compatible, and the Dragonfly is a top DAC for the price!

n3pn3p+1 for the DF RED DAC. Still amazes the hell out of me that they can drive my HD6XX LOL (not it does drive them to a volume without sacrificing on sound quality as i adjust the volume but of course a stand alone amplifier does allows much louder ear drum breaking sound )
