Part of the popular Seiko 5 series, this dress watch is an excellent introduction to mechanical timepieces. It’s equipped with the company’s caliber 7S26 automatic 21-jewel movement, which offers a sweeping seconds hand that beats at 21,600 bph Read More
I'm loving this watch so far. The bracelet looks brilliant as long as you don't look too closely; there are visible gaps in the sides that are excellent for trapping and pulling arm hair, and I have to jimmy the clasp a little to get it to stay closed. I'll keep it around just in case, but for every day wear I swapped it with a leather band (that I had to cut to fit the narrow lug width - note to self, avoid this type of lug in the future) and I think it looks fantastic.

On the accuracy side it started off gaining about +30s per day until I started laying it crown side down overnight. This seems to provide the best slowdown, resulting in +10/15s a day. I'm ok with this as it's not a big deal to set it back a minute every few days.
BKDEWDI don’t have this watch but I’d bet the “18 mm lug width” is incorrect. If you look at the picture with the leather you’ll see that the lugs are much thicker than usual making the gap pretty small. I’d guess it’s probably around 10mm.
The watch looks sharp and feels great. Relatively slim for an automatic. The reserve seems pretty good, too. The only downside is that the bracelet feels a little cheap/lightweight, but I've gotten used to it.
I absolutely adore the way this watch looks in person, pictures don't do it justice. This is my first automatic watch and I couldn't have picked something better for an everyday watch that has such class.
