I'm guessing this drop coming back coincides with Seki's site dropping it down to $20. Adding in the 10% coupon "SekiEdge10" on their site and after tax/shipping gets it down to within a few cents of this. Shipping will be 3-5 days for US addresses from Seki though.
PointyThe clippers you've linked are different than the product listed here. I actually own the Mr. Green clippers, and although they're good, the Seki clippers are significantly better.
Andrzej_HaDefinitely worth it. I've had my Seki toe and fingernail clippers for almost 5 years and they're still great. People thought I was weird for this but I gave the fingernail clippers as part of my groomsmen's gifts and they're still using them 4 years later. I like giving practical gifts that people will get use out of. I recommend them
I have some other quality Japanese-made clippers that I bought last year while in Japan, but I find that they're too large to comfortably use with fingernails. One of the issues (resulting from the size) is that it's difficult to see the part of the nail that's about to be clipped. What are the Sekis like in this regard? Do they have a good level of fine control? Can you get into the corners?
SmithyNZSo to clarify, yes to good control and yes to getting into the corners. If I lost these, I wouldn't hesitate to get another Seki. They do make them without the bulging end that might save you 2 bucks, but the bigger ends are worth it imo
They are selling the seki grooming kit here on Drop so you can see the normal looking clippers there
$19? I bought a pair of clippers for $1 that have lasted me about 12 years so far, plus they have a nail file attached that this one lacks. Who wastes their money on an expensive nail clipper?
I've had the "older" version of these since 2012. I use them for BOTH fingernails AND toenails, and they are still sharp as hell to this day. No more cheap store clippers for me anymore... They are $25 on Amazon.
