Crafted in the ratchet-belt style—originally used in the Russian military—the SlideBelt doesn’t come cut with any holes, which means one size fits all. With traditional belts, every time you pull them closed the holes are put under serious strain, which can lead to cracking and discoloration in the leather Read More
If you're a lady and would prefer a less-wide belt buckle, the square buckle looks to be the same one as they offer on their women's belts. This seems to be one of the few companies that offers faux leather (which is honestly what it's called, but vegan leather carries anti-cruelty connotations, I guess?) belts that are possibly exactly the same for both men and women.
For everyone making fun of "vegan leather": Haha. Ha. Hahaha. You're all so funny with your 'original' jokes. Let us like the sturdy, function-similar leather analogue that doesn't involve just murdering an animal and tanning their hide, okay? It's not like we come to your favourite steakhouse and smack the fork out of your hands, and yet y'all see fit to bring out the mockery any time you see the word "vegan". Grow the hell up, enjoy your leather belts, and let us enjoy our not-leather belts.
We, who dwell on the fourth planet from the star Vega*, are the true Vegans and we resent your appropriation of our proper name. We can excuse Suzanne, but those who have poor ideas of nutrient ingestion, we have this warning, "We'll be back". Or perhaps we'll just send in the Denebians. (They're famous in the galaxy for taking butt and kicking names, in that order.)

I've converted all my belts to Slidebelts and never looked back. The Full and Top grain leathers seemed to hold up better than the Regular/Faux/Canvas ones. You can trim the belt shorter as the buckle end gets torn up, the only ones I've had fail were from pressure of my back belt loop over several years of wear. Eventually you can just replace the leather and use the same buckles as well.
Weird bit of marketing. But wouldn't any pleather or polyester belt be considered vegan?
I have a heavy duty belt made of the same materials as ratchet straps, with a 24kN rated quick release buckle. Not only has it outlasted any traditional belt I've owned, but it costed the same or less too.
Besides, I'm not eating my belts either...
Vegan leather.
