Kyo9999Why would you use a inexpensive amplifier to power a multi-driver loudspeaker with lots of crossover components all of which are parasitic parts? Your review therefore is without merit. Light? What does that mean? This is an amplifier for desktop speakers, it prefers a 4ohm load as all class-D amplifiers are dependent on the resistive loading provided by the loudspeakers. Again your review lacks any merit as a result. There is such a thing as equipment matching which is essential to get the most out of any audio device. I hope you don't get an allowance for a refund as you clearly have zero idea of what you are doing.
At last, they made a speaker amp that I like. However, I don't think this is a good deal. It's sold on AE for a little more, but you get free shipping with DHL/Fedex etc' and it ships ASAP. There are also discount codes that drive the price down significantly. This would be a great deal if Drop could offer it for $200.
I purchased my ao200 about a month ago and have been very satisfied with it. I got it as a upgrade from the smsl ad18. My main reason for upgrading was the balanced inputs that I use from my smsl m200 DAC and using the unbalanced with my record player. There was definitely a marked increase in power output, so much so that I upgraded my speakers to get the most out of the power output. Clean interface that is simple to read, and the usb DAC is already built in for simplicity sake, though I don’t use it. Highly recommend.

"Despite the relatively small chassis of the AO200, it packs features that most amplifiers 2x its size don’t even have. What’s impressive also, is how SMSL was able to cram all these features while creating a relatively neutral but lively and dynamic class D amplifier that can produce loads of detail."
