SMSL VMV D2 DAC

I'd love a Denafrips, but they do color the sound in their own way. I heard the Pontus takes a more laid back and slightly smoother approach to rendering the audio. That with the added latency, I'm not sure I'd enjoy it. For the same price, delta sigma dacs seem to come out on top in terms of detail, no? I dunno, I'd love to be proven wrong. I'm still on the fence about the D2 vs Denafrips.

If you are true music lover and have heard real acoustic instruments playing live, you would never consider anything else but a properly executed R2R dac. So called audiophiles can bite me.

Im actually considering both. Who's to say which one sounds better? I haven't heard either but id wish i could A/B them at the same time. I dont like how the denafrips have introduced latency and how they need to be powered on forever to sound their best.
