Am I the only one thinking the term "button-down" polo is an oxymoron?

Then why are you wearing a polo shirt? You should be wearing a T-shirt made of tech fabric. Most of the items we wear have historical purposes.

TheSmallPotatoMy comments were about marketing and those who are the target of that marketing (which tends to mean, those who fall for it).
History isn't the problem--the problem is people who don't realize history was here before them.
If you mean most of the items we wear have historical roots, that's true--very little is new--save the new people who think "it's" new.
You're not one of them, are you?

For that trendy, I'm wearing my little brother's shirt--look!

Thanks, I'm fine with how I look. You, on the other hand, look like Jenkins from South Park until proven otherwise.

Commenter down below says " definitely cut slim." I can't agree with that, maybe for American standards? but European standards, no way.

Two things:
  1. there is no such thing as a button-down polo shirt.
  2. the fact that these people have created one, changes nothing.

Good thing I've never been into fashion. You're judging too quickly with too many opinions and assumptions, my advise to you also, "don't take yourself too seriously right now--you'll be someone else later."

tdh2My advice advise is don’t plagiarize in public; makes you look “wisdom-less.”

Anybody know how these fit relative to a Ralph Lauren Polo Custom Fit? Thanks!

That's a good way to end up with a shirt that looks like you borrowed it from your baby brother. If you insist on wearing clothing that is too tight, at least make sure it's not too short!

I do prefer my clothes fitted. I'm 5'5" and fluctuate between 150 and 155lbs. Below is the comparison I mentioned above. Burgundy is the Spier & Mackay in small, gray is Polo Ralph Lauren Custom fit in medium.

Something I don't like on polos are flimsy, thin cloth used for the polo. I can't see that on the pic or mentioned in the description. Someone can help?

striker09I have 2 I ordered directly from them. The material is definitely not flimsy or thin. It's a thicker cotton pique fabric.

ususabususfructusCharcoal is more of a solid color. Melange has some textures in its color, please see attachment.
