Tenhz P4 Pro IEM

Just a warning about the cables that come with the TENHZ P4 Pro. I was swapping cables between my Shure, UE 900s & P4 looking for any difference (sound/feel around the ear & tangle resistance). BTW the Shure wins & it's fully shielded. Anyway, I had the TEHZ cable on the UEs & I couldn't get the left connector to disengage. When examining the other, good, connector for clues how to get the other one off, the spider washer fell off. I had tried prying the connector off with a sharp blade in the gap, but it wouldn't budge. I ended up clamping the case & pulling with pliers & it finally popped off. Luckily I got the connector off without destroying the UE case. In the process I pulled the cable out of the connector, so I don't have to worry about this happening again. It's very possible that the UE 900s connectors are reason for the tight fit, even though all MMCX connectors should be interchangeable.

bugeyedBugeyed you are 100% correct. I'm using my mmcx cable from my Shure SE535 and the sound is amazing. Also, these things scale well with an amp.

Saw this review on Reddit and thought I'd share https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/9s7ow6/tenhz_p4_pro_4ba_iem_review/?utm_source=reddit-android Basically it's very good for it's price point ($150 in this review so the price we purchased at should make these a killer deal) it lacks some bass and is a tame sounding iem and it distorted easily at high volume.

Yeah I can't wait to get my hands on them and try them out. I'm interested to see what a costlier option in the chifi market sounds like.

That was my review. I dont think I had "less than optimal seal." I stated that I didnt like the way it sealed with the stock tips as it was making them completely unusable and really it sounded bad and bloated. My seal with the spinfits was solid and I didnt experience any side effects of jaw obstruction. The isolation is pretty much excellent with the spinfits I used for my review. My measurements also have extremely tight seal. The tips get stuck in the rig after use....

Well I guess you have all received the email from Massdrop stating that, "Due to an unexpected delay, these orders may ship later than the original estimated ship date." No shit? MAY ship later than the original ship date? Unless they ship in the next few hours, they WILL ship later. Not sure who is running this drop, but I will never join a drop with them again. It's not so much the delay & late notification, it's the total lack of communication from Massdrop in this forum. I'm still on the fence about cancelling this one??? I'm developing a very low tolerance for the lack of honest support. The email also said that if they find out the shipment will be delayed more than 30 days, they would let us know. How about agreeing to keep us updated regularly with shipping information?

bugeyedYeah this is crazy I like how they will let us know if it's delayed more than 30 days but failed to even let us know anything till now. like good grief stuff from China takes less time to get here if it wasn't such a good deal I would cancel.

I'm so tired of seeing descriptions of iems that only state the number and type of drivers. So, in this case you have 4 balanced armatures. Obviously there has to be a bass armature, but what about the other 3? Is it a midrange, tweeter and super tweeter; is it a midrange and 2 tweeters; is it 2 midranges and 1 tweeter; etc.? What about the crossover? Is it a 2-way or 3-way? Massdrop is and has been dropping the ball on their description of iems for quite sometime. If you want to get a better description of most iems here you have to do your on research and that's not always possible. Massdrop seems to think that if they state the driver configuration and price then that's good enough. I think we deserve a full description of each iem that goes into technical detail about how the different drivers are utilized and how the crossover(s) are configured. Massdrop should be able to get these specs from the manufacturer since they are the original purchaser. It's time for Massdrop to treat us more as enthusiasts rather than a group of mindless buyers.

The review linked in PCgaming4ever post below says it is 1 - Low, 1 - mid & 2 Treb. so I guess more research is in order!

bugeyedI reviewed this recently and my P4 PRO packaging says 1 low, 1 mid , 2 treble. The linked review on the product page here is for the original p4. its misleading.

Update, Hi Kevin,Good Morning, Christina here again. I reached out to our logistics team this morning to see if I could get a more definite answer for you. He just got back to me and said that there is a slight delay, the product is marked for delivery to our warehouse on 10.26.18 and from there our warehouse has a 2-3 business day turn around. So your package will likely be shipped out by 10.29.18.

Any update on this drop? Is it scheduled to ship today? MD has been unusually absent from this discussion with zero updates. Has this drop been abandoned? They have not responded to my email either???

bugeyedThis being my first drop, I don't know what to expect. Are they normally pretty good about shipping on the expected shipping date? Do they typically post in the discussion board if they miss the expected shipping date?
