Grady7777You're most welcome. I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but...Yes, you can switch from the desktop and windows should revert to what you last used when you shut it off. However, some dacs don't disappear from Windows unless unplugged. My Fiio portable disappears when I turn it off. I actually bought one of these from the last drop and it came a few days ago. Unfortunately I don't have my hands on it yet, otherwise I could just tell you. (Had to have it delivered somewhere else while moving).
theonetubySorry, Ill clarify: If you have say, Headphones and a receiver both plugged into your PC, Whichever device is set to your 'default audio device' is the one that outputs all audio, while the other is disabled. What im asking: If you have headphones connected, as well as use the RCA as DAC output to an amp, can you set which device will play audio Via windows?
Grady7777It only shows up as one device, windows doesn't differentiate between your headphones and the rcas on the back. it just connects with the TA-01 and you may choose which plays by plugging in and unplugging your headphones. If no headphones are plugged in, the TA-01 will output through the rcas to your receiver.
