Yeah they’re pads and they’re well made. Dunno what else to say. Here are the Eikon and Pilot pads on my TRX00.

Bought these 2 years ago, figured I'd finally make a review. Ori Pads, Non-Perforated Lambskin. Using them on my Massdrop HiFiMAN HE-350's, I really didn't like their default pads, they'd make the area around my ears itchy and I couldn't wear them for more than an hour or two. These are much much better, and I've worn them for 8+ hours at a time with no itchiness or uncomfortability. Additionally, it's been 2 years of near-daily use and there's no cracking or weirdness with the lambskin. Still smooth, soft, and squishy. Highly recommend if this drop is available again.

Bought the Universe suede pads. Quality is top notch. Better material than alcantara material on Shure's 1540 pad. I think these have dual layered foam with a plush memory foam above a stiffer layer. It's a good design that seals well comfortably but retains enough rigidity to preserve pad depth. Massive opening for ears should fit nearly everyone.
These are on my modded T50RP Mk3 currently and I'm fairly satisfied with how they sound and are an improvement over the Shure pads. Relatively smoother and balanced sound overall. These headphones are the least neutral in my collection but they're a blast to listen to.
Tried them on my M1060 but I did not like the changes to the sound at all. Too much bass reduction and a closed in soundstage. It's possibly bass could be retained with different materials but the pad depth suggest they won't retain the same wide soundstage.
Overall, they're well built pads but a bit unpredictable when it comes to acoustic changes. I'd advise caution when purchasing these. If you enjoy pad rolling and have multiple headphones to experiment with, they can be a great buy.

Short review: hate the sheepskin Ori pads on the TH-X00s, like them on the HE-4XX.
Nothing changes the tuning of a headphone more than a pad swap, and these certainly change the tuning of the cans I’ve tried them on.
I bought the sheepskin (non-fenestrated) Ori pads for the Fostex TH-X00s. I love the look and they are super comfortable. They are very well made. They make the X00s look like a much higher end set of cans, but they destroy the Fostex’s signature sound. These pads are about half an inch wider than the stock pads, and thus they hold the drivers much farther from your ears than the stock pads. This has several negative effects on how the TH-X00s sound to my ears. The Ori pads greatly decrease the bass on the X00s, removing the low-end rumble and impact that these cans should deliver. Overall volume takes a hit too; I had to drive them much harder to get the sound I wanted, and I never got it.... They remove everything—bass, impact, tight staging—that makes the X00s sound special to me. The X00s sound much weaker with these fancy expensive pads on them. Since these were sold here on Massdrop specifically to pair with the X00s (that’s the only headphone in the pictures), I’m knocking off a couple stars (I find it telling that Massdrop is now selling the thinner ZMF Universe pad to go with the Fostex and not the fat Ori pad). Stick with the stock Fostex pads unless you want a much more polite sounding X00. The perforated and velour pads no doubt will perform differently, but the truth is that the Fostex cans were designed to hold the transducers close to your ears, not an inch away from your ears, so any fat pad is going to change the sound significantly, and probably in a negative way.
However, I put the sheepskin Ori pads on both my HiFiMan HE-400s and my HE-4XXs, and I really like that pairing (I got the sheepskin pilot headband pad too, which is plush and comfy, especially on the heavy 400s). The pad’s fatness does not weaken the HiFiMan sound at all. Everything the Ori pads do wrong for my Fostex cans they do right for the HiFiMans to my ears. They are much more comfortable than the stock pads and provide a significant boost in the low end, although the tradeoff is that they squeeze the soundstage a bit. I don’t care; the low end boost and extra warmth is worth it. I think the 4XXs are too polite and bass-light and the 400s are too bright; the Ori pads correct that in spades. They provide a significant boost in the low end, warming up the 400s a little bit and the 4XXs a lot. Now, I like a warm turning and I love my bass, so your experience may differ.
I like the Ori pads on the 4XXs so much that I also purchased ZMF’s newer, thinner Universe pad for them, this time in fenestrated sheepskin (the Ori pads are staying on the 400s). I’m curious how they will compare.
(FYI, these pads do not ship with mounting rings, which is the ring of plastic you need to physically attach the pad to your headset. You can use the ring that comes with the X00’s stock pads, but you will have to procure a set of HiFiMan mounting rings on your own to put these on your 400s or 4XXs unless you want to destroy your Focus Pads (the ring is glued to the pad). Get a set of loose rings or the HiFiMan velour pads for 10-15 bucks; you can remove the ring easily from the velour pad since it is not glued on.)
If you don’t like the Focus-A pads that ship with the 4XXs and want a warmer turning and more low-end slam with your 400s or 4XXs, I recommend giving the Ori pads a try (and also HiFiMan’s Focus pads with the fenestrated interior, which also boost the low end albeit to a lesser degree than the Ori pads, so those are a good middle ground. I’ve tried both and am sticking with the Ori pads on my HiFiMans. They’re just more slamming fun than the HiFiMan-made pads).

I used the mounting rings from the velour hifiman earpads ($12 on Amazon). You can take the rings out of the velour pads (they are glued onto the focus pads, so don’t get those) and put them in the ori and universe pads. I haven’t tried tape. I recommend using the plastic rings. I fear tape will be too loose.

But hey, it might work. Give it a shot and let me know if it works.

These pads are great!
Maybe a little squishier than the Dekoni pads but just as comfortable. Better for people that wear glasses as they'll deform a little more against the temples of your glasses.

I have the suede pilot pad, makes my HE-400 the comfiest ever. Need a new drop so I can get 2 more for my E-MU Teak and TH-X00 PH! Maybe a 3rd for my 4xx, but that has better padding than the 400, so might just wait till it starts to wear out...
