Great soundbar for shared-wall living.
It sounds like I've got a pair of bookshelf speakers powering the tv.
Voices are excellent, bass is surprising, and the highs are majestically clear.
The Beosound Stage sounds very full, in comparison to most sound bars I've heard.
If you have Apple TV, its supports connection through airplay (in fact, I can sync up my whole living room of B&O speakers), or through hdmi eARC.
eARC is a bit of mess. Once it's connected it works flawless, but generally once every few days the TV/Soundbar get out of alignment and require some troubleshooting. I've experienced this with other eARC devices before, so it may be just a problem with the protocol in general.
The B&O app is a requirement for their speakers, and the app needs serious work. Menus are hidden, information is sparce, and it's unclear what you're connected to. There are a few connectivity issues here and there, but generally it works.
The Beosound Stage is worth the price if you plan on adding to your B&O collection. The speaker sharing, connectivity, and easy of use makes for a very enjoyable listening experience for the uninitiated. The sound is on par with other speakers in the same price range, and I am shocked at just how well their multiple speakers can blend together.
I see it has a 3.5 line in, using an RCA adapter could this also act as a center channel? Would be cool to switch from 'soundbar mode' to 'center speaker mode' by changing the input
I know why it’s discounted on Drop… No subwoofer connectivity nor any remote for what’s intended to be used with TV and movies. AND it’s expensive for what it is, at msrp. Hard pass here.
And the B&O app - total control over bass and treble within the app.
The speaker works invisibly - no need for extra remotes or other stuff. I've had one for almost 4 years and love the thing. Apple TV remote works the volume. I turn on the Apple TV, the television turns on, and then the soundbar (to the preset volume set in the app). One button press, one slim remote - nothing else needed.
The sound is just realistic - not overboosted bass or artificial sound effects.
