Why do you have the $429.00 MSRP on this drop? From BeyerdynamicUSA they ship for $249.00?
You also can get them every 3-4 months from Newegg for $115-165 shipped to my door I have all three and have less then $500 in all of them.
SkrummThey might have cost the $429.00 msrp 30 years ago lol, highest I've ever seen these go was $299.99 though. Also, these were like $110 on black Friday last year, so maybe if you're patient enough you can get a pair in a few months for dirt cheap. o_o
Sigh... hey people we got someone talking shit here.
We don't have to do this... you should cover up your chopstick arms, do u even lift bro?
Don't judge to quickly, because I'm actually a ginger with no souls :D
How to get rid of stock of older models without even offering a decent rebate...
DT1990Pro, Amiron, or T1.2 models with a small discount would sell SO MUCH better, but Beyerdynamic doesn't discount more recent models, at least in motherland EU.
You can do better than this, Massdrop. 75% of your current offers are old products that keep coming back again with similar prices and absolutely not added value. In the real world, value of most things decrease over time.
TienbasseOld but gold dude.
But don't talk about the Amirons, I don't want other people to own them. They're my favorite headphone, even over overhyped Focal and the 800S or the T1 and especially over Mrspeakers Flow and Aeon. They're the best kept secret, don't let other people know. ;-)
bruh on the poll there were over 2000 votes for the hd 800 and only 163 votes for these, and they chose to drop these instead on the hd 800. I think it's pretty clear that MANY people want an hd 800 drop, and if they could go for $800 or even $600 if possible, they would sell like crazy
I don't understand. Prices on these should be much lower for a group buy. These are about the same price or sometimes cheaper from Amazon. Great cans, but why wait when you can get them from Amazon with prime shipping?
600 ohm is very hard to drive, you will need an amp to push, pc or ipod/cell phone will not able to drive 600 ohm. 880 is more fit to natural sound, and I like bass that is why I pick 990 over 880, you can still feel the bass on the 990, but not boomy like 770, and don't get 600 ohm if you tight in budget, get the 250 ohm, if not you will need to buy an amp on the side. I am using 250 ohm 990, either audioengine D1, XDuoo TA-01, I need to turn volume to 100%, 90% to able to get to the 110db I need on the 250 ohm. you can also read here, I think there should be more detail for you http://www.head-fi.org/t/513393/guide-sonic-differences-between-dt770-dt990-models-more
SlaanderThanks for the info. I've found myself using my headphones exclusively with an AV Receiver which dedicates all it's power to the headphone jack when a headphone is plugged in. I also read that the 600Ohm 990's were the definitive version better in all respects, especially bass at that very weblink :P
Looks like your having second thouhts about the Fostex. I have a Asus xonar essence stx in my computer 124 db certified my be cheaper than some of the others.
