Glycine has been in the watchmaking business for well over a century, and the Combat 6 is one of its tried-and-true models. On this version, Glycine has swapped the traditional stainless steel case for bronze that develops a natural patina over time Read More
I think value for money is the best watch you can buy today. The aesthetic workmanship also meets high quality and expectations. It shows more than what, but it's good :)
My second Glycine and third bronze case watch - This one is just phenomenal. I kinda wish it had a screw down crown, but that's just a personal preference. The dial in particular is gorgeous, I went for blue, and the sunburst is dazzling. No lume, but I don't wear it in situations where it's needed, and I feel like it would have distracted from the design.
The matching dark blue band is also gorgeous, well finished, and unbelievably comfortable out of the box.
Wearing it for about a week, watchcheck says it seems to have lost about 4 seconds.
The bronze case hasn't started to patina yet, but I know what I'm in for, and can't wait for the matte gold finish to appear, juxtaposed against the bright dial.
I think I might go so far as to say it's an appropriate dress watch if you're into the look that isn't flashy to most, but stand out among people who care to look.
for $350, if this thing comes around, I would absolutely recommend it. I kicked out a CCCP that I really, really liked just to give this one a new permanent home in my case.
Now my watch collection is complete until I can afford the final piece - Grand Seiko snowflake.
