These are simply fantastic fun. I did my homework before buying and felt like I knew what I was getting into. However, nothing could have prepared me for my first listen. Powerful is the word that comes to mind. The low end is unlike anything I've ever heard from an item before. This is nowhere near neutral sound and I don't care! These made me want to go through my entire library on the first listen just to hear what they do with all the songs I feel like a know inside and out. It's so fun! They are heavy but I don't notice it at all when wearing them. They first look like they have a strange elongated shape but they fit shockingly well. I'm using Spinfit 145's and they are a joy to wear. I can't recommend these enough for the price.
very comfortable
little heavy but that helps when they're not in your ears
I wear my band behind my neck so these are perfect for me.
bass is definitely there but you need to upgrade the cable
I'm using Linsoul HC-08 2.5mm plugged into Qudelix5k which accepts
blue tooth transmission from my FiiO BTA30.
So I'm now running an LDAC setup.
LDAC is where these IEMs really shine.
Clarity galore. Bass galore. Vocals stop being sharp and come in perfectly.
The KZ ZSX has better bass but these are
more comfortable and more natural
without losing any bass.
Both Loud and Low volume on these sounds perfect.
This is where I find KZ ZSX falling short.
The KZ ZSX has for me produced a bit of static at super low
levels of volume. Most users won't notice but me
when I'm trying to work and listen to my environment
I noticed. I noticed a lot.
so much so that I switched to the IKKO OH10 despite
my firm belief that the KZ ZSX bass is better.
great iems in terms of sound great tuning and nice build but the right side died after a month, you can search it up on reddit and find out that its a common issue with the right iem.
also there isn't any customer service to fix or replacement from drop so i had to contact ikko directly
and ikko agreed to fix it for free so i just need to ship that
Edit: got them back after 2 months since i shipped it to the factory
been using the oh10s for 3 weeks for now everything is fine
Updating my 4 star review to a solid 5 star review. Not sure if because they "burned in" now or because I put Dekoni foam Bulletz tips or because I replaced cable (with https://drop.com/buy/thieaudio-est-iem-cable), but these are awesome now. I think it was the ear tips. These are easily my favorite IEM in my collection now, granted that I don't own any super expensive IEMs, my IEMs were all $300 or less.
I'm not sure what "curve" they were going for? Harman curve? V? Other? But whichever one it is, this is my curve. Extremely musical and enjoyable, perfect signature for my taste. But more than just the signature, the details are great and completely non-fatiguing, very holographic sound, the bass is strong but not bloated or muddy. Mids are perfect, not in your face, but not too stepped back either, just right. I highly recommend these IEMs and use the Dekoni foam tips.
They sound large and they feel large. The only other IEMs I have are the Arias (and the T2s but I'm not a fan of those). I find that the soundstage of the OH10s is very wide which works for some music, but it isn't able to feel intimate when it's meant to. The soundstage of the Arias is generally much closer but works better in general. The bass is large and textured with great impact and impressively never crowds the midrange; it has good separation. Mids are decent, nothing too noteworthy, and treble is detailed but can sound a bit sharp. Overall, they're technically better than my Arias but I prefer the tuning and inoffensiveness of the Arias. It also took a couple weeks for my ears to get used to the size and weight of them.
Needed EQ (a lot) and still unimpressed by the bass response
Heya, was trying to find something similar to the fh5s in relation to the bass response and I wasn't impressed with the ikko oh10. As comparaison, the bass response of the truthear zero is better, a 50usd iem.
Also the treble is killing, had to put a -6db highshelf starting at 10khz.
Will be returning them.
"Outfitted with dual titanium drivers—a Knowles 33518 balanced armature and a 10-millimeter dynamic driver", this is mental. Go and try to buy this tech with the so-called "high end" IEMs. Yes, people will say, more drivers doesn't make better sound... I know, but 1. that is what the high-end manufacturers say rationalises their absurd prices, and 2. it kind of does, except if tuned by an audio idiot. There were no idiots near the design of these. Their design aside from the bumpy dimply edges, that I don't care much for, but they do distinguish these and emphasise the metal, which is sort of cool. These are are fairly wide but flat against your head. I am unsure if anyone remembers JH Harvey's "Tennis Ball" style IEMs? So these are opposite and sit nice and flat, like a good IEM should. Sure, these weigh a decent amount due to the quality materials and good tech. The sound is awesome though. Beautiful textured bass. Plenty of separation. Also these are under $200, so who cares? I love the recessed connectors. Saves a tonne of money. If you want to jog then don't use these, buy portable sweat resistant iems as you do want to hear a little of what is going on around you and the benefits of wired headphones over bluetooth with transparency as an option just vanish to nothing. I would Fiio for that. Not the best transparency, but the best quality in my opinion, and half the price, or many others also with both poorer quality builds AND sound - it isn't a very close call as of writing in my opinion, and I have like 20 pairs, but it is a disease, and I am powerless....
Some of the best iems I have ever heard. The sound is wide, crisp and perfectly clear. I run these with a fiio btr3k for a semi wireless setup. 10/10 would recommend.
These sound so nice. Suuuuper clean. Bass is definitely there but not over the top. Really comfortable which helps because these biches are heavy, I don’t really notice it when they are in though. soundstage is biiiiiig, imaging is decent.
UPDATE: I’ve owned these for a few years, and still love them and use them a lot, one thing I will say is that the plastic used for the 2-pin housing is really brittle and broke within a couple of months of use. I ordered replacement 2-pin connectors from Ali Express and with some careful soldering and some milliput it’s better than ever. But yeah, the original plastic was bad. Hopefully it’s been fixed with the recent versions.
