Misleading email diminishes your credibility Why does the email headline say custom fit when these clearly are NOT custom fit?

Note to self. NEVER pay full price on Drop! You'll feel ripped off later when sold for half what you paid. Drop has to know that they are upsetting a ton of customers doing this all the time. I seriously will no longer purchase products that have not been discounted. I have paid hundreds more for products like this and the Nuforce hem series and seeing steep discounts just months later is frustrating. These are a no brainer for this price. Frankly, I was quite pleased at the $300 price. Great sub bass... They are exactly as described.

Drop hasn't offered real discounts for ages. "Audiophile" is the new fast fashion. Manufactures create "new" or slightly modified products seemingly once a month. Then the previous becomes outdated and goes on clearance. But it's a two way street, it happens because of the newish unhealthy widespread obsession with finding the perfect headphone/IEM. They don't exist, it's 99% marketing hype every time (this includes the "reviewers" who wax poetic about anything in order to seem sophisticated and intelligent), in my experience... I've bought my fair share of Chi-Fi buds and cans and I've yet to be blown away. So now I don't bother. I've got my Galaxy buds, Porta-Pro's and HD58x and I hardly use them because speakers are much more enjoyable afaic. (If you don't have a set of LSR305's, you should 😉)

I could be interested in these for bedphones, but i've had several pair break while I slept. The only ones that have been comfortable to sleep with and survived are NuForce HEM 2 and NuForce Primo 8. Another Massdrop branded were good for about 6 months but split apart. The HEM 8 lost bass in the side I prefer to sleep on.

I will try it! I've had two sets fail due to bonding between pieces fail. They've just come apart. Must be my corrosive mind.

Interesting. I had driver/ channel dropping issues with both my Massdrop plus and HEM8.

Anyone know how these stack up against ie80’s? I have a pair from 4 years ago that are still chugging along like champs but I’ve been looking to upgrade for a while now. Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Broken in and I recant my not worthy comment. A worthy 200$. No more, and the wait w/bs ruined the happy happy. Now Ill have an AUDIOSENSE T800 to compare to to in under 2 weeks, from China without the drop ajita.

Wow, moondrop and the jvc fdx1 really forced Massdrop to make this more competitive. What great time to be alive

I see your point, but there are a lot of exceptions. Again with the MD+ and JVC you'd be comparing a BA driver to a Dynamic driver IEM. They sound different and shine in different ways, anybody could listen to both and hear a difference. Again, I understand where you're coming from on this point. I have put on headphones and listened to gear after a long hiatus waiting to be wowed and I realize, I'm trying to hear 'something' when it's the same old music! As I've spent more money I hear bigger difference, but my headphones and iems are all below $300. 6xx/600 headphones and these two iems. no rule saying you have to own kilobuck or half a kilobuck headphones. MD+ biggest issue is the cheap ass cable which aint worth $5, the lack of more treble and soundstage, and the low af impedance which forces you to spend more money to run it with something that's not a phone or laptop. On the flip side, once you run them right they don't suffer from BA timbre as much as the Blessing 2 I tried and they are the most comfortable iem I've had. But yea! No need to buy $1500 iems, you get a lot for your money with stuff at this price point.

You know, while I'm not going to get as in depth in my comment, but I love my MD+. I've had various IEMs over the years and definitely enjoy these for what they are considering the price point. I love the fit of these IEMs and have had no issues wearing these for long hours and throwing a wide range of genres at them. This is more for people who find this comment chain during their research. I still need to get a new cable for mine, but the stock cable isn't great nor terrible.

Anybody got the opportunity to compare to Grado gr8e? I loved mine, got em stolen, might go for the same but wondering what's out there that can compete, this is same price range, also have AAW A3H pro first version hybrid and never liked them, that was not a good purchase
