Massdrop x MEE audio Pinnacle PX IEMs

Made in collaboration with MEE audio, the Pinnacle PX is the comfortable, versatile, and incredibly engaging IEM you’ll want to listen to all day long. It has the same tuning and detailed, enjoyable sound signature as the Pinnacle P1, with updates to the build quality and a significantly lower price. The zinc alloy housing has a scratch-resistant PVD finish in a custom dark blue, and the robust, detachable MMCX cable is complete with an inline microphone and remote. The 10-millimeter copper-clad dynamic moving-coil driver delivers a musical sound with crystal-clear mids and a realistic bass note, while the proprietary acoustic diffuser creates the ideal balance of treble extension and smooth in-ear response.

Like the Pinnacle P1, the PX features MEE audio’s acoustic diffuser: a proprietary sound chamber and damping scheme. The diffuser takes advantage of the directional nature of high-frequency sound waves, forcing select frequencies to resonate before reaching the ear to ensure coherency and smoothness. This enhances the detailing and high-frequency extension without adding harshness, resulting in an extended, energetic yet realistic treble with an improved handling of spatial cues.

When developing the Pinnacle PX, we worked with MEE audio to make a number of changes with the wearer’s comfort and the IEM’s longevity in mind. The 3.5-millimeter plug and internal MMCX connector design were updated for better durability, and a bit of clear heatshrink tubing was added to the MMCX connectors for improved strain relief. Plus, the compound for the cable sheath was reformulated for additional resistance to sweat and oils from the skin. Packaged with both silicone and Comply foam ear tips, and a protective carrying case, the PX can be worn two ways: with the cable over the ear or straight down from it.
