Always disappointed to see otherwise great looking bags designed for 15" laptops... 17 seems to be the new standard. Still might get this, though. It'll be handy to keep my D&D stuff together. That's the nerdiest thing I've ever typed...

DukeOfVandals8715 inch laptops are the sweet spot its bigger than the 13 inch so its more comfortable for long use but smaller and more compact than a full size 17 inch laptop besides most bags I've seen can't even fit a 15 inch laptop let alone a 17 inch

DukeOfVandals8717 is an old standard (Apple disco'd their 17 incher a long time ago). Some gamer types and hard core developers are going to them, but I'm heading the other direction--I'd rather have a smaller laptop to carry around and just have a couple nice big monitors wherever I'm going.
Besides, I wouldn't use a single strap shoulder bag for something that weighed as much as most 17 inch laptops. I'd be looking for a full fledged backpack with a hip belt. Those things *weigh*.

Anyone have any experience with their recent bags? I'm seeing a lot of reviews elsewhere claiming the fasteners are fragile and break easily.

ArchaeopteryxPurchased this on the last drop, fastener on the left side broke pretty quickly on in.

OrtepAnd here I thought Rothco was known for using excessively thing canvas, and shoddy stitching! ETA: Not that that's necessarily the be-all-end-all argument. Rothco stuff is good-enough, in some cases, and it's generally cheap. My 2yo isn't in any danger of wearing a hole in one of their duffel bags, and she LOVES having her own canvas duffel.

Would like to reiterate what @Archaeopteryx said some months ago, what's people's opinions on the quality and longevity of this or other products from Rothco? As he says, I've viewed a few reviews with support that claim the bag 'disintegrates', though that one such review was from 6 years ago.
I'd like to hope that the craftsmanship and materials have improved since such.
