It drove my HD650s with power and performance that the Gustard H10 struggled to keep up with. There's another version of this product here on massdrop (the Dacport HD) and I can blindly recommend that for the price. I would recommend this product over the said Gustard too, which it humiliated IMO. It has plenty of oomph and slighty v signature but it makes music more fun to listen to especially if you have neutral headphones. Quality product - 5 stars.
Using it for more than 2 years now. Currently it's my fav for portable use, tried various DAPs upto $300 but nothing beats this in terms of SQ. Also compared to Schiit Modi2u in DAC mode only Modi has better highs but CEntrance is ahead in bass and soundstage. But mids is where is shines, Modi sounds cold in comparison. Wish @CEntrance makes a DAC only device in budget range it will be a success.
I've had this for 4 years and the USB port on it broke. Great product that has treated me well for a long time. Thousands of hours of music and games through this little thing and am sad that it gave out.
It works great and provides ample amount of power for my cans. The only thing that concerns me a bit is that it gets too hot when plugged even if my PC is turned off. A good and slim DAC, nevertheless.
Very convenient little Dac/Amp. but after some months, it started having unwanted noise artifacts in low gain mode. Any chances of switching out for a new unit?
It was a useful little dac/amp combo that could run my AKG K702/HD650, but I did have to max out the volume to make it playable, and after getting my objective 2 it clearly sounds inferior to it.
That said, for the size it's the perfect dac/amp to stick under your desk, or carry with you in your pocket to hook up to your laptop, and it gets louder than the larger Fiio E10K, and for that I can't fault the product. Well done, Centrance.
This is a great DAC and Amp. It has plenty of power for my He-4xx's, and even enough to drive my He-400's in a pinch. The AK4490 is a great, underrated DAC. Your phone does need a monster battery to use this as a portable, I use it with my laptop and to take to work. The second there is another drop, I'll be purchasing a second!
