Forging a much-anticipated flagship in its Wood Series line, JVC has created the HA-FW1800: a fusion of two sought-after earphone models in one exclusive audio essential. From the anniversary HA-FW10000 IEM, the HA-FW1800 features JVC’s ultra-thin 50-micrometer birchwood dome carbon diaphragms to deliver expansive, natural-sounding audio. From the popular FW-01 IEM, the HA-FW1800 favors a streamlined design and high-performing hardware components. This blend hits the sweet spot for those in search of JVC’s top-of-the-line wood drivers in a more minimal presentation. Made in Japan to the brand’s exacting quality standards, the JVC HA-FW1800 comes with a selection of Spiral Dot+ eartips for custom comfort. It’s the IEM you’ve been waiting for, and it’s here on Drop first.
Holding true to JVC’s vision for the Wood Series IEMs, the HA-FW1800 delivers Hi-Res sound with big help from nature. Case in point: the company’s in-house, flagship Wood Dome drivers, which employ 50-micrometer birchwood dome carbon diaphragms to achieve 103-decibel sensitivity, a frequency response spanning 6 hertz to 52 kilohertz, and a distinctively warm sound overall. These benefits and more, such as expansive sound staging, are also made possible by natural components taken from the FW-01, including silk absorption materials and external wood housing. Together with a carefully designed acoustic purifier and chrome-plated brass inner housing, they give the HA-FW1800 pleasing acoustic properties balanced by the precision of modern design. It’s the best of both worlds—this time, the natural and the engineered.
JVC has been a world leader in audio and visual technology for nearly a century. Founded in Yokohama, Japan in 1927, the company originally manufactured phonographs, but its commitment to research and development and dedication to employing the world’s top talent quickly led to additional avenues. Among JVC’s many industry innovations over the years are Japan’s first phonograph, EP record, stereo record player, and VHS video recorder, which spawned a cultural phenomenon in and of itself in the 1980s. Today, JVC’s innovations in the home-theater, video-recording, and (of course) audio marketplace continue to attract worldwide attention.
