I hate the inevitable deterioration of sound quality due to the adapter.I only need 3.5mm.Ali Express and taobao sells the 3.5 plug version and is cheaper than the 2.5 balanced.Audionut22

Cheapest I could find on Ali was $299 for the 3.5mm. I didn't see any cheaper than MD price here.

I personally own SE5way Ref & Ult, and also some other >$1000 level IEM & CIEM. I recently got this SWD2+, and after a burn in of almost 100 hours, just want to say, do not look down on these widely used "ugly" unit shell, they sound solely fantastic. Not mentioning the problem of noise isolation, they are natural, neutral, very much detailed, while not so hard to drive. Again, an ideal choice within & a little above the price range.

Although I haven't had any experience with the Dragon 2 listed here; I recently bought a pair of Rose Mojito and I can say earbuds can sound way more superior than high end iem, given I compared the Mojito to my Aurisonics ASG-2.5 and Westone UM pro 50. The soundstage and airyness of Mojito are totally at a different level and easily blows the latter 2 out of water. Yet, Mojito is capable to retain as much details, if not providing more.
At first I was very skeptical about these Chi-fi stuff with the high price tag and I was never a big fan TBH. After googling a bit of reviews plus the Mojito is only US$200, I was like, 'whatever, it's only $200' so pulled the trigger. I am now glad that I took the gamble. I guess sometimes you have to be a bit more open-minded.
So if people are baffling to justify the high price of Dragon 2 with such a DGAF design of its appearance (if there's any), I would recommend to take a look at the Rose Mojito.
