When you think of Swiss automatic watches, Tissot comes to mind right away. In business since 1853, the company has a knack for making impressive timepieces that can be passed down for generations Read More
The movement advertised here is not correct. The real movement is the ETA C07.121 having 2️⃣3️⃣💎 instead of the 2️⃣5️⃣💎 found in the ETA C07.621 The 🔺️ lies in the fact that the ETA C07.121 has plastic (marketing calls it high tech) escapement so they can get rid of 2️⃣💎
Details about the movement https://watchbase.com/eta/caliber/c07-121Manufacturer's page of the ⌚ https://www.tissotwatches.com/en-za/shop/tissot-prs-516-automatic-new-3.htmlThis is a good deal considering the brand and movement you're getting. It also has the novelty that the hours markers are applied @ the sapphire crystal instead of the dial, so the seconds 🖐🏻 will pass below the hour markers.
Says a guy who buys Tommy fucking Hilfiger glasses from MD, and called the date window at the four o'clock position on a Glycine a "retarded date hole?!
Piss off and give the damn phone back to your mother, you annoying little twat.
RayFeven if i used different words, that glycine date window will still not be flattering. And those Tommy shades is less wasteful than a two-tone constellation
I have been owning a Tissot PRS 516 with the old movement (an ETA 2836, not the powermatic) and I can only say this is probably the best Quality/Price automatic watch in the market, not only said by me (which would mean nothing at all) but also in many other specialized forums on automatic watches...
I can even report that in one occasion it only got an offset of about +80 seconds over a period of 6 months... an staggering 0.526"/day!!! I have to say that was while I was living in Hawaii so I guessed I was picking up different periods of high humidity and moderate temperature ranges which would compensate each other, but still, find me a watch company claiming this level of accuracy on an automatic watch!!
Just to put in perspective, when Rolex and other big brands claim they are COSC the tests are ran for about 15 days and the running slow/fast is in the range [-4,6] seconds. You can check the COSC specs in this nice article:

Long story short: if you want a nice and well built automatic watch from a respectable Swiss company, this is it. Don't think twice!! I am even considering buying another one at this incredible price.
Bezel is fixed and the hour markers are weirdly glued on the inside of the watch’s glass and not on the dial. That’s my only gripe, but all in all a decent watch, I got it from ebay for the same price as massdrop mint condition.
NicklazowskiSorry I have no idea, it came with the watch. It has Tissot Branding on the clasp so my guess is it was purchased from a physical store by the original owner.
Price looks good, BUT if you are motivated to push that BUY button based solely on the movement, you should probably have a look at Caliber Corner's Powermatic 80 page-- just to be sure:
RayF80 hours is an achievement at this price point even if they did have to slow it down to get there. Rolex used to slow down the old el primo caliber for the daytona. I don't even get 80 hours on my caliber 3235 with parachrom spring. But Ray I always support people having more information.

Perhaps an achievement, but I wouldn't measure it by "price"-- the one number we in the watch-world know is random, unfixed, erratic, flexible, nonsensical, and often total bullshit. None of which can be measured on a Timegrapher ;- )
