Initial reaction - love them. I had the fiio utws1 and liked them except the ear hooks were too stiff and made them uncomfortable. Also the stiffness meant I couldn’t use larger items like my fiio fh3 or t2. I could only use my Shure se215’s with the utws1, but even they became uncomfortable after an hour or so. These are super duper comfy. The ear hooks are soft and supple - love the feel - don’t even know they’re there. Played for several hours. volume noticeably louder and sound as good or better than the utsw1. The case is also a nice touch but it is huge and not a ton of room inside for the iems.
the 2nd and 3rd time I tried using them I had really bad interference/drops. Every couple of seconds there would be a split second cutout in one or both sides. Unusable. However later I forced a reset and repaired with phone and all has been great since (4 hrs) with no issues.
if not for those few times I experienced interference, I would give these 5 stars. Sound, fit and finish, case all great and obviously the freedom of cable-less with comfort. Hopefully the reset did the trick and these will continue to perform admirably.
This product has poor sound quality. Also, the delivery was delayed, so VAT was added as it was delivered with other products.
The left unit is easily pulled out.
I bought it for exercise, but it's uncomfortable.
Call quality is the worst.
....
I lost my kxxx..
This product is trash.
I got the MMCX version, took em out to pair and hook up my Meze Rai Solos for the first time. One of the MMCX connections didn't look quite straight, so I went to remove and reconnect the IEM and the MMCX connecor on the BT20S snapped off.
I have literally not had them out of the box for long enough to even pair them and they are already broken. These things are actual garbage and I'll be requesting a refund from Drop - you guys should not sell something made this poorly.
I didn't really notice any change in audio between these and using a cable, but you can find them for cheaper on Aliexpress...
Edit. One of them stopped working a few barely a month of use. I don't recommend them.
The bt20s is compatible with the Zeus IEM, so it surprised me that these didn't have fitting connectors for that specific pair, I was really looking forwards to using this adapter for that IEM, I know the actual connectors are detachable so maybe there's hope to get a proper fit for the Zeus'
I really like this setup's sound stage, detailing, separation and all the other hifi words I kinda think I understand. At moderate volume or less, there is an audible high pitched that is uncomfortable and even painful. When the music is full, you can almost ignore it. I'll be seeking exchange or refund. Pairing and charging seem great so far.
Bluetooth will not pair to each other or phone, ear hooks are too soft
Charged them and then connected via MMCX to my UE900's without a snag. But once charged I am unable to get the right ear adapter to connect via the bluetooth 5.0 to my phone or the left ear adapter. So for me the product was DOA. So far unable to recommend.
aimholtHi. It's not clear from the instructions but you need to pair the two ear pieces before connecting by Bluetooth. If it's not done in that order it doesn't work.
These work great with great battery life HOWEVER... they will break if they take a single bad fall. build quality needs to be improved if it will break after a single bad fall
High pitched noise w/ Solaris IEMs. Changing buds the connector came loose from the housing and broke. Even if the unit didn't break the added noise made them really hard to listen to.
...sometimes loses BT stereo connection. Which is strange because they have great range from my iPhone X.
just lose sight of each other on opposite sides of my skull.
upgrades over the previous generation are significant: USB-C charging case and interchangeable ear loops available for different connector styles are both real game changers.
Overall this is the best Bluetooth TW IEM dongle set out there at the moment. As the tech matures, surely a hi fi company will produce a similar thing with serious sound, app control, and better construction with fewer weaknesses to iron out.
I would buy it.
